Anushka Sharma, in an interview with Filmfare, got candid about Virat Kohli's one quality which she likes the most. Anushka was quoted as saying, "His honesty is something I deeply value. I’m an honest person and have suffered on account of that. He’s brutally honest too. I’m so happy that I met someone like him because we both lead our lives with complete honesty. It’s so transparent and clean."
Further speaking reverently about her hubby, Anushka added, "I have a life partner with whom nothing is pretentious. Everything is real. Also, the fact that we both support each other. He’s someone, who’s constantly trying to get better professionally and as an individual. I’m also like that. We don’t take ourselves so seriously. We’re similar as people. That’s why we get along."
Virat Kohli, also in a recent interview, shared how he and Anushka make their marriage a happy one. Virat had said, "Me and my wife like to do normal things, we just like going around for walks. Last night we were at the Marine parade; full moon, we were just enjoying that sitting on a bench just talking. It’s actually the most simplest things that give us a lot of joy."
Virushka's love story is highly admired by many people. Once, Virat shared an anecdote when he met Anushka during a cricket match. The Indian cricket captain had opened up and revealed, "I was in Mohali and there was a test series going on. I was with Anushka then, she had come to visit me. Surprisingly, when I was made Test Captain, then also she was in Melbourne with me. That was a very special moment we shared together."

He had further added, "During the Mohali incident, they had spoken to me already. When I hung up the phone and told her, for me it was like a flashback..From the moment I started playing in my academy till the Mohali game. I was emotional, I was in tears because I had never thought that I will see this day. What was more beautiful was that, I was able to share it with Anushka. It was something that I will always remember." (Must Read: 'Manikarnika' Actor Nihaar Pandya To Propose Neeti Mohan On National TV, Marrying On Valentine's Day)
There was a short phase in Kohli's life when his game was on a downslide, and trolls started questioning Anushka's presence in the stadium. Some even went as far as calling her Virat's unlucky charm. Virat, had then come out in the open and shunned the trolls by writing, "Shame on those people who have been having a go at Anushka for the longest time and connecting every negative thing to her. Shame on those people calling themselves educated. Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what I do with my sport."
His post could be further read as, "If anything she has only motivated and given me more positivity. This was a long time coming. Shame on these people that hide and take a dig. And i dont need any respect for this post. Have some compassion and respect her. Think of how your sister or girlfriend or wife would feel if someone trolled them and very conveniently rubbished them in public. #nocompassion #nocommonsense."
Who would have thought that 6 months later Virat will dedicate his series win against South Africa in Jan-Feb 2018 to Anushka? During the presentation ceremony, he had said, "My wife has been keeping me motivated throughout, she deserves a lot of credit for this. She has been criticized a lot in the past, but she is one person who has kept me going throughout this tour and when times have been tough and I am really grateful for that."
Anushka recently told a media portal as to how she and Virat manage their personal and professional lives. She was quoted as saying, "We try to create a proper work-life balance. Both of us really love doing what we do professionally. Our priorities are very clear in life. But at the same time, we try and find time to do something together. We don't take our professions or our career too seriously. We don't draw our identity only from that. We are very simple and like doing normal things. For the world it is about our professions. But in reality, it is just normal. It is as normal as anyone would be in a relationship. We don't see each other in terms of our profession."
