Anushka Sharma is one of the most loved actresses in Bollywood. The diva entered Bollywood with the film, Band Baaja Baaraat in 2010. In 2008, South superstar, Asin Thottumkal debuted in Bollywood with the film, Ghajini. Both movies did extremely well at the box office, and the award function was jointly held in 2010 for the last two years. Among the two actresses, Asin won almost the majority of the best debut awards, much to Anushka's despair, who later openly talked about her disappointment in several interviews.
Awards can be a huge encouragement in every house of life, be it professional or in academic races. At the same time, when someone loses awards, it can hamper their self-confidence and turn them bitter. The same happened with Anushka Sharma, who lost the Filmfare Best Debut awards to Asin and then openly shared her disappointment on the same.
On the award night, Anushka was seen clapping and cheering for Asin as she won the award, but on Koffee With Karan, Anushka clearly expressed her disappointment. When Karan asked her what she would do if she woke up as Ranveer Singh one day, she added that she would pack all his debut trophies and send them to her address as she won none. Karan further asked them who won them. To this, Anushka dissed Asin and called her 'A-Sin'.

Another snippet of Anushka was recently shared on Reddit, where she revealed that before attending the award function, she had calculated that she would win the Best Debut Award, as Asin has been in the industry for many years. On top of that, she has also acted in Ghajini's South Indian version, so the jury will never give her the awards, but to her dismay, Asin won.
Anushka shared that she was new to the industry at that time; she needed encouragement with the awards, not Asin. Although she clapped for the actress, she felt really bad inside. She later cried like a child, thinking of her defeat.
