"And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021” is how Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had announced their pregnancy on social media. “3 years of us & very soon, 3 of us” is how Anushka had wished Virat on their third wedding anniversary. As much as Virat and Anushka are waiting for them to become three with the arrival of their little bundle of joy, fans are super-excited to see baby Virushka. Just a month to go before Virat and Anushka welcome their first child and post their pregnancy announcement in August, it has been the mom-to-be’s comfortable outfits that have everyone’s attention. A Bollywood buff might not be a big fan of cricket but would definitely follow the matches that Anushka Sharma attends. After all, who would want to miss Virat Kohli blowing flying kisses to Anushka from the pitch or asking from the field and making sure if his wife has eaten? Even before Virat and Anushka had exchanged the wedding vows, they have been synonymous to the term, ‘Couple Goals’. Be it managing a secret wedding in Italy away from the media glare, standing up for each other against the trolls, supporting their professional achievements or their sweet gestures for one another and their oh-so-perfect captions, Virat and Anushka have always proved that they are a perfect match.
Ever since Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had announced their pregnancy, the to-be mom’s every look is grabbing the attention of her fans, especially for the super-comfortable outfits which give major maternity fashion goals. Anushka, who is in her eighth month of pregnancy, was papped by the paparazzi on her clinic visit in Mumbai and it was her mangalsutra that grabbed our attention. Anushka sported a black outfit and her minimalistic mangalsutra was the highlight of her look. Anushka completed her look with a white mask.
Though pregnancy is a phase for expecting women to sit back and enjoy some (a lot) guilt-free norms, it is also a time to stay fit. Speaking on the importance of yoga for expecting mothers, Anushka Sharma had posted a picture of herself, doing the headstand with the help of her ‘very able husband’, Virat Kohli. Anushka had captioned the post as “This exercise is ‘hands-down’ (and legs up) the most difficult one #throwback P.S. – As yoga is a big part of my life, my doctor recommended that I can do all such asanas that I was doing before I was pregnant barring twists & extreme forward bends, but of course with the appropriate and required support. For the Shirshasana, which I have been doing for many years, I ensured that I used the wall for support and also my very able husband supporting me balance, to be extra safe. This was also done under the supervision of my yoga teacher @eefa_shrof who was virtually with me through this session. I'm so glad I could continue my practice through my pregnancy.” (Also Read: Virat Kohli And Anushka Sharma Want To Bring Up Their First Child In The World Like This [Details])

Virat Kohli had applied to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for paternity leaves and he was granted the permission to return to India after the series opener of the India-Australia Test tour. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a statement that could be read as “At the selection committee meeting held on October 26th, 2020, Mr Virat Kohli had informed the BCCI about his plans to return to India after the first Test in Adelaide. The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain. He will return after the first Test against Australia in Adelaide.” Breaking his silence on the same, Virat had said in a press conference, “The decision was made before the selection meeting that I will be flying back before the first Test. It was purely based on the fact that there was a quarantine period in both ways. I wanted to be back in time to be with my wife for the birth of our first child. It is very, very special and a beautiful moment in our lives and that was the reason for my decision that was communicated to the selectors."
Anushka Sharma too, had revealed that she will be back after delivering her first child and will establish a system to balance her personal and professional life. Anushka had said, “I will be back to my shoots after I deliver my child, and will establish a system at home that ensures I can balance time between my child, home and professional life. I intend to keep working for as long as I live because acting truly makes me happy.” In an interview with TOI, Anushka revealed that she and her team undergo COVID-19 tests regularly between shoots. She had said, “I had to be sure that the sets are going to be a safe place to shoot because I would be shooting during the pandemic. Though I was looking forward to shooting again, I was also careful that all the precautions were being taken.” (Also Read: Mom-To-Be Anushka Sharma Looks Like A Vision In White As She Flaunts Baby Bump In Mini-Dress On Sets)
