Anushka Sharma is one of the popular actresses in Bollywood. Married to Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli, she is a proud mommy to her two kids, Vamika and Akaay. The actress, who reportedly shifted to London with her family, recently returned to India and attended an event in Mumbai. During the interaction at the event, Anushka opened up about her family life and her commitment to maintaining a routine for Vamika and Akaay.
Speaking at the event, Anushka Sharma shared that she and her husband, Virat Kohli, share kitchen duties at home. She said that they both make the food that their moms made at home so that they could pass these recipes on to their kids. Anushka added that she sometimes call her mother to ask for recipes and said:
“We had this discussion at home that if we don’t make the food our moms made at home, then we won’t be passing these recipes on to our kids. So, sometimes I cook, and sometimes my husband cooks, and we really try to replicate the way our mothers did. I cheat a little by calling my mom to ask for recipes, but it’s so important. It’s like you’re passing on something valuable to your children.”
Anushka Sharma also revealed how she tries to maintain a routine for her kids, Vamika and Akaay. The actress mentioned that they frequently travel as a family, and their kids experience many changes in their lives. So, she has fixed their meal times and sleeping schedule so that they can regulate themselves much better. In her words:
“I am very particular about routine. We travel a lot as a family, and my kids experience many changes in their lives. So, by creating a routine for them, I am giving them a sense of control. Meal times are fixed—no matter where we are, we eat at the same time and sleep at the same time. It helps them regulate themselves much better.”
On August 19, 2024, Anushka Sharma took to her IG stories and dropped a glimpse of her kids, Vamika and Akaay's first rakhi celebration. The actress didn't reveal her kids' faces, as she shared a photo featuring two unique knitted rakhis. The car-shaped rakhis had tie-up detailing on the strings, along with black and white buttons and googly eyes on top. Sharing the photo, the actress wrote:
"Happy Raksha Bandhan (along with two pink heart emojis)."
Anushka Sharma and her husband, Virat Kohli, have reportedly moved to the UK, and they are often spotted strolling through the streets of London. The actress hasn’t been seen in the movies since 2018, and her last film was Zero. Next, Anushka is likely to appear in the much-awaited film, Chakda Xpress, which was wrapped up a while ago. This time, Anushka returned to India without Virat or their children. Her first visit to India after the birth of their son, Akaay, was in May.
