One of the most beautiful and talented actresses of her generation, Anushka Sharma, needs no introduction. She often makes it to the headlines, courtesy of her latest spiritual trips or her stunning fashion looks. The gorgeousness got married to the captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Virat Kohli, on December 11, 2017. The much-in-love couple got promoted as parents when their baby girl, Vamika, arrived in January 2021. Ever since the actress has been beautifully managing both her home and work.
In a recent interview with Grazia magazine, Anushka reflected on the past year, when she had been totally engrossed in balancing her work as an actor and her responsibilities towards her daughter. For the unversed, the past year was when the actress gave her blood and sweat to her yet unreleased film, Chakda Xpress. Elaborating on her journey as a new mom as well as getting back to her first love of films, Anushka mentioned:
“The entire last year went into filming Chakda. I’d finish shooting and would have only that much time to spend time with my daughter, feed her dinner, and follow her night-time routine, and go to bed early soon after her."

In the same interview, Anushka also highlighted how her new journey as a mom of a two-year-old child has changed her in many ways. She mentions that her daughter's new responsibility has made her more confident and self-assured. In her words:
“It has internally made me a far more self-assured individual – I feel I’m way more confident as a person. It’s a very real thing, caring for another human – and putting the child first in everything. I want to mention this – that it’s so important to have this connect with your child. I’m so hands on and I do everything for her, and I enjoy doing it, so the bond is very special. I feel that she’s turning into a secure individual, and I’m happy about that.”
Bollywood has seen several actresses who have either quit the glamour world or have reduced their presence on the silver screen after becoming a mom. But, for Anushka, the decision to do new films post-motherhood can only occur if she finds the scripts coming across her meaningful. Further in the interview, Anushka mentioned how she agreed to do a film like Chakda Xpress right after being a mom since it fit the bill of her expectations of the script. In her words:
“I’m okay to do more movies but only if it’s worth taking my time out and if it makes sense. I don’t want to do movies just to stay in the game – I’m very clear about that. It would have to be a film like Chakda.”

Well, Anushka Sharma being an excellent mom is not just a statement but a fact which has been agreed upon by her fans and her dear hubby, Virat Kohli. During a recent session with the RCB podcast, Virat candidly spoke about the sacrifices his wife, Anushka Sharma, made as a mother in the past two years for their daughter. Heaping praises for being the most exceptional mommy ever, Virat said:
“The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child and, as a mother, the sacrifices that she made have been massive. Looking at her, I realised whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement."
