On May 1, 2022, Anushka Sharma shared a picture of herself enjoying her birthday cake on her IG handle and penned a note talking about balancing her personal and professional life. The actress shared that she has always been a seeker of balance and added that she is focussing on being part of the movies, which will justify her time away from her daughter, Vamika. Her caption can be read as:
“I will always want to be a part of the best scripts that come my way. I feel blessed that I am in a position today to select the type of films that I want to do, which also justifies the time that I will spend away from my child. I have always been a seeker of balance in life and my priority now lies there. I want to focus on my work life and my family life in equal measure.”
Anushka Sharma along with her brother, Karnesh Sharma had started a production house, Clean Slate Filmz in 2013. However, on March 19, 2022, she had shared a lengthy note revealing her decision to give the full responsibility of Clean Slate Filmz to her brother, Karnesh Sharma. She had mentioned her wish to focus on her acting career and had added that because she is a mother now, she wants to balance her life with her first love, that is acting. An excerpt from her note could be read as:
"When I started Clean Slate Filmz with my brother Karnesh Ssharma, we were novices when it came to production but we had a fire in our belly and we wanted to try and set the agenda of entertainment in India through clutter-breaking content. Being a new mother who has chosen to be an actor by profession, I have to balance my life in an entirely new fashion like never before. So, I have decided that whatever time I have at hand, I will dedicate it to my first love, acting! Therefore, I have decided to step away from CSF, confident that the most able person, Karnesh, is taking forward the vision with which it was created in the first place."
