Panipat star, Arjun Kapoor must be going through the same feelings as he is going steady in his relationship with Malaika Arora. The madly-in-love couple had initially kept their relationship under the wraps and had denied dating each other. But their casual outings and social gatherings were enough to guess that something is brewing between them. Malaika is not only close with Arjun but his family also adores her. Ever since the duo had made their relationship official and had started walking hand-in-hand at various events, rumours and speculations about their wedding have been making it to the headlines.
Time and again, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have denied and cleared the air about their marriage speculations. But there seems to be no end to all these gossips about their marriage. Recently, in an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, when Arjun was asked about his marriage plans with Malaika next year, he stated that if and when he gets married, he will inform the media. There is nothing to hide from his side and he is not looking to get married anytime soon.
Arjun Kapoor has always kept his personal life private and has only shared limited details. During the interview, when he was asked about the curiosity that people have about his life and how he reacts to them, Arjun retorted, “I took time to adjust, but I’m not the first actor whose personal life is no more personal, nor will I be the last. It’s a price you pay for stardom. If anybody doesn’t like it, he is in the wrong profession. I can’t stop anybody from writing about my personal life because there is an audience who wants to know more. I’m okay with that as long as one speaks about it respectfully."
This is not the first time when Arjun Kapoor had cleared the air about his wedding speculations with Malaika Arora. In November 2019, while speaking to a media publication, Arjun had denied his wedding plans and instead spoke about his changing equation with his family. Arjun seems to be in a happy space with his father, Boney Kapoor and half-sisters, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and sister, Anshula Kapoor. During the conversation, Arjun had further revealed that he and Malaika don’t want to get married right now and since his family has a tradition of having a big fat Indian wedding, he won't go for a hush-hush one and will announce it when it will happen. In an interview with the Filmfare, Arjun Kapoor had opened up about his relationship with Malaika Arora and how his family reacted on the same and revealed that if someone is giving him stability in life, then his family won’t be against it, Arjun was quoted as saying, “They are happy. That's the reason I have been able to come out. There is genuine happiness for me. I have been through hell. I have been through a roller-coaster... from the age of 10-11 till 33 today. My parents separated when I was around 11 years old. Today I have some stability in my life and if someone gives me happiness, my family won't be against it. I am genuinely happy. That is why a Friday at the box-office doesn't decide my life. Three years back, I had have been like, I am dying! What's gonna happen? Today, I am relaxed.”
Arjun Kapoor, in yet another interview with the Filmfare, had put an end to his marriage speculations and had remarked, “I'm not getting married. I understand why there are speculations. Because in my own house people would ask tu shaadi kab kar raha hai? It's a very organic Indian question. If you're with someone for even three days, the marriage question pops up. Shaadi karlo, tumhari umar ho gayi hai, abhi kitna sochoge? 33 for most people in India is a great age to get married, but not for me. I still have time. If I've not hidden my relationship, why will I hide my marriage yaar?”
When probed further if his ladylove, Malaika Arora is okay with waiting or not, Arjun Kapoor had retorted, “If I could answer on her behalf, the thing is we both have to still discover each other in a public space and enjoy the comfort of being a couple. We need that ease. We need to take our mind off this pressure of getting married. Sometimes, you just need to be in a relationship. You need to live it; you need to enjoy it for what it is, rather than what it should be according to people. We’re at ease with each other. I guess, it should be left at that without going into details.” (Must Read: Unseen Pictures Of Isha Ambani Piramal Enjoying Painting On Her Birthday With Mother, Nita Ambani)
