Arjun Kapoor is reportedly going through a difficult time in his personal life. The actor and his longtime girlfriend, Malaika Arora, have called it quits after dating each other for over four years. Arjun and Malaika have neither addressed the rumours of their alleged breakup nor been spotted together in public. Amid all this, Malaika also skipped Arjun's birthday bash and didn't even share a birthday post for him.
Arjun Kapoor didn't react to Malaika Arora's absence from his birthday party, fuelling their breakup rumours. However, now, the actor has dropped a picture note on his social media and hinted at troubles in his personal life. On July 1, 2024, taking to his IG stories, Arjun Kapoor penned a cryptic note about pain, which grabbed everyone's attention. His note can be read as:
"Pain from discipline is better than pain from regret."

As Arjun Kapoor hosted an intimate birthday celebration at his home on June 26, 2024, Malaika Arora chose to give it a miss. Since then, people have been speculating that something is wrong between Malaika and Arjun and that their breakup rumours were true. Arjun donned a black printed shirt and matching pants for the party and was seen happily cutting three scrumptious cakes. His close friends and family members, including Janhvi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Natasha Dalal, and others, attended the celebration.
Earlier, in an interview with Hello magazine, Malaika Arora opened up about how she deals with negativity surrounding her personal life. Amid the ongoing rumours of her breakup with Arjun Kapoor, when Malaika was asked about her idea of love, she called herself a hardcore romantic. The diva added that she would never give up on the idea of true love, and would fight for love till the very end. Mentioning that she knows where to draw the line, Malaika said:
“I’ll never give up on the idea of true love, no matter what. I’m a typical Scorpio that way, so I’ll fight for love till the very end — but I’m also very realistic and know where to draw the line.”

In one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan 8, Arjun Kapoor opened up about his marriage plans in a conversation with the show's host, Karan Johar. The actor clearly stated that at this point in time, he didn't want to comment on such questions all alone. Arjun Kapoor admitted that he wants to reveal his take only if his partner, Malaika Arora, publicly talks about it. The actor added that it would be unfair if he would talk about the current status of their relationship and its future in public all by himself.
