Bollywood star, Arjun Kapoor has received appreciation for his negative role of 'Danger Lanka' in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. The actor, on November 21, 2024, revealed that he got inked again, and this time, the tattoo he got done was dedicated to his mother, the late Mona Kapoor. For the unversed, Arjun is the son of Boney and his first wife, Mona. She passed away on March 25, 2012, because of multiple organ failures before the release of Arjun's debut movie Ishaqzaade with Parineeti Chopra
Fans of the actor know that he was very close to his mother. He got ''Rab Rakha" inked on his shoulder on November 21, 2024. In his Instagram post, the actor revealed that he got the tattoo on the eve of Singham Again release. Arjun, who is celebrating the success of the cop universe, revealed the emotional story behind getting the tattoo as a tribute to his mother. He even thanked his mom for teaching him to have faith in the power of the almighty. In the words of Arjun:
“My mother always said this – in good times and bad. Even today, it feels like she’s right here with me, guiding me, watching over me. I feel like she’s got my back, reminding me that the universe has a plan."
Arjun Kapoor was devastated when his mom, Mona passed, away. Years may have passed, but the void remains after the loss of a mother. In an interview with HT, the actor once revealed how his life felt incomplete without his mom. Arjun and his sister, Anshula, had a different way of coping with the loss of their mom. They had not touched her room for six years. However, they felt it was not normal to have one room wholly locked up forever when there was no place in the house. For them, the home was where their mom lived, and it felt incomplete without her presence. In the words of Arjun:
"So every day I go out make people happy, make myself happy, work, act in movie, celebrate being a star and there’s love and selfies, mazza aa raha hai, shooting kar rahe ho, your living the dream job. And then when you come back home, and I can’t tell. It just feels like incomplete."
Once, in a Facebook post, Arjun revealed his perspective on tattoos. He shared that every tattoo of his has a personal and deep meaning. For Arjun, tattoos are a form of expression; he finds them cool and beautiful. He always wanted to sport tattoos in his films, and it is not a secret that he loved the artwork. He was always hunting for cool designs and talking to people about what his next will be. Interestingly, even for Ek Villain Returns, the actor sported insane tattoos that defined his character and personality in the film. Arjun had mentioned that with Ek Villain Returns, he had reunited with his love for body art. He had 3 tattoos at the time, when Ek Villain Returns was shot. However, with time Arjun ensured to get more tattoos.
