Back in 2018-19, when Gurdip Punjj had played the character of Jodha, Akbar's third wife, Salim's mother in the show, Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, she was often asked about playing a mother’s role to a grown-up. Addressing the questions and revealing that since she is a mother of two, she had no qualms in playing the role on-screen as motherhood comes naturally to her, Gurdip had said in an interview with the Bombay Times, “People have seen me mature as an actor, so they offer me roles keeping that in mind. Also, this is a historical show and we know that women would get married at an early age back then. It’s a strong character and I am too excited to play the part. I am a mother of two in real life and so, maternal love comes naturally to me. That makes it easier to portray my character with conviction.” (Also Read: Nakuul Mehta's Wife, Jankee Shares Her 4-Months-Pregger Photo With A Fun Story Of Their Son's Name)
