Television actress, Arti Singh is known for her acting skills and stunning fashion sense. For the unversed, she is the niece of Bollywood actor, Govinda and sister of actor, comedian and television host, Krushna Abhishek. Moreover, Arti and Krushna's cousins, Ragini Khanna and Soumya Seth are also popular names in the television industry. Thus, talking about her struggles to make a place for herself in her already popular family, she also revealed an incident when certain people sidelined her due to the same.
During the launch of her upcoming TV show, Shravani, Arti Singh opened up about her mental struggles. She mentioned that it was quite challenging for her to make a name for herself in her already popular family. Govinda's niece, Arti explained how it was difficult to match with the stars of her family, when she was just a newbie in the showbiz world. She elaborated:
“Honestly speaking the struggle was at a mental level because everyone in the family was well-known. When everyone in your family is well-known, and you are the lesser known then you face difficulties to match up to them."

Further, Arti opened up about the pressure of being Krushna Abhishek's sister or being related to other eminent names in the industry. Elaborating more on it, she recalled an incident when she was asked to step aside so that the stars of her family could get clicked at a photo. Recalling that this incident was quite hurting for her, she mentioned that this used to often happen to her. She said:
"I still remember I was often asked to step aside as they wanted to click the photos of stars of the family at family functions. I would feel bad, it hurt me. Mujhe kai baar photo mein se hata diya gaya, when Ragini and Krushna were doing Jhalak (dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa), I was asked to step aside from the photo and I felt really bad, I was like ‘yaar even I am his sister’. It starts affecting you at a mental level slowly, it was a struggle that I faced."
In the same conversation, Arti was also asked about her family's support for her acting career. To this, the actress mentioned that it was only such incidents that motivated and pushed her to achieve great things in life. Otherwise, her family greatly supported her in her decisions. She stated:
"My family has been very supportive. But otherwise there has been no such struggle.”

Arti made her acting debut with the television show, Maayka in 2007. However, it was her stint in Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Parichay - Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka, which gave her immense stardom. She also worked in many more shows, including Grihasti, Waaris, Uttaran, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and others. Not only that, Arti also participated in one of the most controversial reality shows, Bigg Boss 13, in 2019, and was the fourth runner-up.
