The name Asha Parekh needs no introduction. The ever-gorgeous veteran actress was the highest-paid actress in Hindi cinema during the 1960s and 1970s. She was also the first woman to be appointed as the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification. Asha has worked with many renowned actors throughout her career.
The veteran actress appeared on the latest episode of the talk show The Invincibles Series Season 2, hosted by Arbaaz Khan. In the teaser, Asha talked about her equation with her co-actors and wittily accepted Shammi Kapoor's rumour that he was married to her.

In the same conversation, Asha also talked about her strained relationship with veteran actor, Shatrughan Sinha. Talking about the derogatory comments made by Shatrughan on her, Asha shared:
“It was like let’s do just like the way I want. And then he gave some statements in the press, which were very derogatory to him, not to me.”

Asha Parekh was one of the most sought-after actresses of her time. She made her acting debut at the age of 10 and awestruck everyone with her brilliant performances in films like Kati Patang, Teesri Manzil, Love in Tokyo, Aan Milo Sajna, Dil Deke Dekho and many others. Asha Parekh remained unmarried throughout her life, and she once claimed that it was her reputation for being unapproachable that made people hesitant to ask her for marriage. In her old interview with The Times of India, Asha Parekh addressed the rumours of her marriage with Shammi Kapoor. When she was asked, “There was gossip about you was that media got you married to Shammi Kapoor?” she retorted,
“Luckily that gossip fizzled out quickly and it came at a time when Shammi was seeing someone else.”
Though Asha Parekh never got married, she was head-over-heels in love with her director, mentor and producer, Nasir Hussain. In her autobiography, The Hit Girl, Asha revealed her love for Nasir Hussain and revealed that she never wanted to be a home-breaker. In her words:
“I was never a home-breaker. There was never any ill will between me and Nasir Saab’s family. In fact, I was so happy to see Nusrat (Hussain’s daughter) and Imran Khan (grandson) at my book launch. I feel I’ve lived my life decently, and without hurting anyone.”
