Himanshi Khurana crossed paths with Asim Riaz in the reality show, Bigg Boss 13, and eventually they fell for each other. However, after dating one another for three years, the duo parted ways due to religious differences. They officially announced their separation on their respective social media handles and sought privacy in the matter. Now, Asim's brother, Umar Riaz opened up about his brother's breakup with Himanshi, and revealed his honest reaction. For the unversed, Umar is a doctor by profession but also has an interest in acting.
Bigg Boss 15 fame, Umar Riaz, will be next seen as a host in MTV's reality show, D2R – Mr and Miss Runway Model. Ahead of that, he sat for an interview with the Indian Express. During his conversation, he also reacted to his brother, Asim Riaz's breakup with Himanshi Khurana. Umar mentioned that there is a reason for everything that happens in life. Moreover, he stated how people keep coming into one's life. Thus, according to Umar, if you get the chance to marry them, they are meant for you. Otherwise, you were not destined to be with them. Umar further asked people not to hype the breakup news so much as it's not a divorce, and shared:
"There is always a reason for everything to happen in life, and we forget about God often. People keep coming into your life and they leave also. If you get married to them, it means that person was meant to be. If you breakup, it was not meant to be. Things didn’t happen because of their reasons. It’s their personal life, so let that relationship be where it was. Don’t give it importance like it was a divorce."

Further, in the same conversation, Umar accepted that Asim and Himanshi had indeed parted ways due to their religious differences. However, raising no further questions on their decision, Umar mentioned that since Asim and Himanshi hail from Kashmir and Punjab, respectively, they face such cultural clashes. However, according to Umar, they had every right to take that decision and shared:
"There are a lot many things. Love is not just love, you get attached to people, and get away from reality for a while. But both Asim and Himanshi represent different cultures from Kashmir and Punjab. When these two people meet, there are some aspects involved, and a few of them might not give a damn about those, but sometimes those aspects have to be considered. So when they thought about those aspects, they realized them being together anymore was difficult."
Post her breakup with Asim, Himashi had opted for a tirth yatra with her mother. Taking to her IG handle on December 13, 2023, Himanshi dropped an array of pictures of herself, and mentioned that she kickstarted her Char Dham Yatra visit with a trip to the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. The gorgeousness opted for a brown-hued cotton anarkali and teamed it with a black and white-hued printed dupatta. She accentuated her look with an oxidised neckpiece, and could be seen strolling in the alleyways of the temple premises. Sharing her pictures, she penned:
“Jaganath puri with maa Chaar dham yatra……”
