Atul Subash left the entire nation in shock when he decided to hang himself to death after facing constant harassment at the hands of his estranged wife, Nikita Singhania and her family. In December 2024, Atul Subhash left a 24-page letter and a video accusing Nikita Singhania and her family of their false legal cases against him and his family. After this, the Bengaluru police took prompt action and caught Nikita Singhani and her family, who were absconding.
Atul Subhash was a software engineer who worked in Bengaluru. Nikita Singhania, who worked in Accenture, was arrested in Gurgaon. Now, as she and her family got bail in the case, Atul Subhash's father revealed that the bail was granted to her under the legal process, but they shouldn't have yet been released.
Atul Subhash's father further expressed his worries related to his grandson and urged the Karnataka police to find out information about him. He stated that the grandson is admitted to a boarding school at the age of three, which is not legal in India. He said:
"Ab toh hume apne pote ki chinta ho rahi hai, ki pota kaha hai.. hai bhi ki nahi hai...Hume Karnataka ki police se jaankari mili hai ki vo Faridabad ke ek boarding school mein, boarding school mein uska dakhila teen saal ki umar mein hua. Teen saal ki umar mein boarding school mein dakhila hona gair-kanooni hai."
Atul Subhash's father further added that the mother, Nikita Singhania, has no love for the child. He also claimed that she is only using him, their grandson, as an ATM. He said:
"Bache se toh bache ki maa ko koi prem hai nahi. Vo toh sirf usko ATM bana kar use kr rahi thi. Bail bhi jo usko mila hai isi ground pr mila hai Supreme Court se ka aadesh hai ki bacche ko haazir karna hai."
Atul Subhash and Nikita Singhania met each other via the matrimonial website. After initial conversation, they informed their parents about liking each other. The couple got married in 2019. However, Nikita started harassing Atul after their son was born and always demanded money from him to send to her parents. It's been three years since Nikita left Atul's home with their son.

A TOI report quoted Nikita Singhania, who denied all such harassment allegations made against her by the late Atul Subhash and her family. She claimed that she was living apart from her husband for nearly three years and didn't harass him for money. She was quoted as saying:
"If I harassed him for money, why would I stay away from him?"
Nikita Singhania even claimed that she was the one who was being harassed during the course of their marriage. After this, she filed a police complaint in 2022, accusing Atul Subhash of dowry-related harassment and assault.
