Atul Subhash's suicide case has grabbed a whole lot of attention lately, raising concerns about men's lives. For those who chipped in late, Atul was a Bengaluru-based techie who committed suicide by leaving behind a suicide note, wherein he tagged his estranged wife, Nikita Singhania, to be the 'explicit instigation' for his suicide. Nikita, who is a well-settled individual, demanded Rs. 40K from her husband, and even asked for Rs. 3 crore alimony. Atul was tortured to such a point, that he took the drastic step of committing suicide. Amid this, Nikita was arrested, and now, Atul's father reacted to the same.
For the unversed, Bengaluru-based techie, Atul Subhash got married to Delhi's AI consultant, Nikita Singhania back in 2019, and they have a son. Moreover, after a few years of their marital bliss, problems cropped in between the couple, and they seemingly separated. Well, Nikita filled a total of 9 cases against Atul, and in a 2022 complaint, she stated to had been mentally and physically harassed by her husband and in-laws for dowry.
Well, Atul, in his suicide note, has answered it all and revealed how he was not being able to meet his son. He also urged that the custody of his son should be given to his parents, who would teach him better values. An FIR was lodged against Nikita Singhania and his family members, and they were arrested on December 15, 2024. Atul Subhash's father was asked about this. Talking to PTI, Atul Subhash's father stated that they are not aware of their grandson's whereabouts. He also expressed his tension over the little one's safety and added that he just wants to see if his grandson is alright and wishes that he stays with them.
Atul Subhash's father also thanked the police for taking the step and arresting his daughter-in-law, Nikita Singhania, along with her family members. When asked if they followed Atul Subhash's last wish not to perform Asthi Visarjaan, his father mentioned that although they do all the pooja paath, but still they won't perform the immersion of his son's ashes until he gets his justice.
He further added that another case was lodged against them, and its hearing is on December 16, 2024. When asked what was the case, Atul's father stated that Nikita wanted more money for maintenance. For the unversed, Atul was already paying Nikita Rs. 40K monthly as maintenance while his salary was Rs. 84K. Nikita was an employee of Accenture in the post of AI engineer consultant.
