In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Ayushmann Khurrana shared a surprising anecdote from his acting journey in Bollywood. When the actor was asked about the way, his life had changed after he had won Roadies season 2 and why he had decided to move into radio, despite becoming a popular face in the television industry. Answering this, Ayushmann shared that before making his move into the radio, he had auditioned for Ekta Kapoor's iconic daily soap, Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. However, he also shared that he was already up and running as an RJ by the time he had received an offer from the makers. Thus, he had to say no to the opportunity to play the character, Lakshya Virani, which was played by Pulkit Samrat later on. He said:

"Yes, I did. It was a Balaji show, I do not remember the name. Perhaps it was either Kasauti Zindagii Kayy or Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Pulkit Samrat did that role eventually. Actually, I made it as an RJ by the time when I auditioned for the show. So I told my casting director 'bro, I am going'. So I could not do that TV show."

It's quite inspirational the way Ayushmann Khurrana had made his way into the Hindi cinema, despite having no connections and after working in television and radio. The actor had made his acting debut in 2012 with Shoojit Sircar's romantic comedy film, Vicky Donor in which he was cast opposite Yami Gautam, and it had turned out to be a massive hit, and the rest is history. Apart from his acting journey, Ayushmann is also adored by everyone and hardly has any haters. The reason behind it is the powerful thoughts that he shares on his social media handles and media interactions without any filters. While he encourages boys to become gentlemen, he often smashes the age-old patriarchal setup in Indian society with his powerful thoughts. Ayushmann is indeed an idol for so many youngsters across the nation.

"Ayushmann was inclined towards acting since childhood. When he was five years old, he was part of a Shakespearean play, and since then he has been passionate about acting. While in college, he formed an acting group. He also used to do street plays in Sector 17 with his friends, and even though they were street plays, they had a standard. Ayushmann also participated in college festivals and won awards. Right from when he received a Filmfare Award for Vicky Donor to featuring on the Time 100 most influential list, every time Ayushmann won, I had tears of happiness in my eyes. I have seen him struggle to fulfil his passion for acting."
