Popularly known by his stage name, Badshah, Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia was born in Delhi. The famous rapper and singer did B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Chandigarh but shifted his career in the music industry. However, his father wanted him to be an IAS officer instead of a rapper. But he was determined to follow his dreams, fought with his father, and became the man he is today.
In 2020, his song, Genda Phool, became one of the most successful songs in Indian history. Moreover, he was also a judge in the famous reality show, "Dil Hai Hindustani". Even after being a big celebrity, Badshah doesn't share much about his personal life publically. He prefers to stay happy with his family in their own little world. Badshah and his wife, Jasmine, are madly in love with each other without the world knowing about it.
Though Badshah always stays in the limelight, his marriage was a private affair. The couple had a love-cum-arranged marriage in the presence of their parents and close ones. Reportedly, the Bollywood rapper cum singer had met his wife, Jasmine, at a party of their common friend. As a matter of fact, the love birds had a familiar taste in music, so they vibed together.
Badshah's wife, Jasmine, belongs to a Christian family and has a different cultural background. Therefore, instead of opting for a ghodi, baraat, and phere, they had an intimate Christian wedding. So, the couple walked down the aisle in 2012 without any media coverage. However, it was only after the birth of Badshah's baby girl that his fans got to know about him being married.
Jasmine Masih is a gorgeous young lady who supported Badshah during his struggling days. She stood by his side through thick and thin, and this is how the rapper knew that she was the one. However, his fans were taken aback when Badshah's friend, Raftaar had congratulated the couple upon the baby girl's arrival. He had then taken to his Instagram handle to post an adorable picture of the little princess along with a caption that read, "Aww… isn't she too cute to handle?". But Badshah and his wife, Jasmine, didn't open up about the same and kept everything lowkey.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Badshah had talked about how parenthood was treating him and said, "I never really liked kids before, and kind of hated them. I didn't like them. I don't know why. But everything's changed since my daughter has born, and I have started loving kids now. Whenever I see any crying kid, I make sure that I make the kid stop crying".
In the same interview, Badshah had further shared his views on fatherhood and had said, "Being a father is a feeling like no other. I cannot express this precious feeling in words. I think one himself has to become a father. Only then he can understand how it feels to be a father, that happiness of being a father. My daughter is my entire world, and I love her to the moon and back. I can do anything in the entire world for her".
Badshah is a famous and known Indian rapper who has given some blockbuster songs in Bollywood. He got quite popular with his hits like Tareefaan and Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe. Soon after, he earned recognition as one of the finest playback singers in the industry. His song, Wakhra Swag, had won the 2016 Punjabi Music Awards and the Most Popular Song of the year Award.
In 2006, he joined Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh's hip hop group Mafia Muneer. Later, he released his own Haryanvi single, Kar Gayi Chull, an adaptation of which was used in the Bollywood movie Kapoor & Sons.
Badshah had no godfather in the industry to support him, but his struggles made him reach the pinnacle of success. Talking about his efforts in an interview with Pinkvilla, the Khandani Shafakhana actor said, "For music, I had to sacrifice a lot. I had to sacrifice my friends, parties, my parents and family. I had to sacrifice Aditya for Badshah".
Badshah and Jasmine's love story is proof that true love sticks by you during tough times. The lovebirds are happy together, enjoying their parenthood, and keeping their personal lives private.
