Bal Keshav Thackeray, better known as Balasaheb Thackeray or Bal Thackeray was the founder of the Marathi regionalist and Hindu ultranationalist political party, Shiv Sena in India. Although Bal Thackeray started his professional journey as a cartoonist, it was in 1966 when he founded Shiv Sena to fight for the rights of the Marathi people. In the following years, he contributed heavily to the betterment of the Marathi people across India.
However, there have been a lot of controversies and debates around Bal Thackeray's stature in the political space as he had given a series of headline-breaking statements. From praising Adolf Hitler for his organising skills to being nicknamed as 'Hindu Hriday Samrat' by his mammoth fanbase across India, Balasaheb Thackeray was one of the most powerful people in India. In the beginning, he was considered as a leader, who fought for the rights of the Marathi people, but in the latter years, he became a popular figure for the Sanatani people.

The way Bal Thackeray supported Kashmiri Pandits back in 1990 by reserving some seats in Mumbai colleges for them or claiming that it was his party, Shiv Sena's workers, who demolished Babri Masjid, Balasahedb Thackeray is worshipped like a deity by his supporters even today. For the unversed, Bal Thackeray passed away on November 17, 2012, due to a cardiac arrest. As per multiple reports, nearly 1.5 million people attended his funeral. Not only this, Bal Thackeray even received a 21-gun salute for everything he had done for Maharashtra, the Marathis, and the Hindu community.
Apart from power and politics, there are a lot of things that people need to know about the Thackeray family. For the unversed, Balasaheb Thackeray got married to his wife, Meena Thackeray on June 13, 1948. The couple were parents to three kids, Uddhav Thackeray, Jaidev Thackeray, and Bindumadhav Thackeray. However, out of his three sons, it is Jaidev Thackeray, who was in the headlines after his father, Bal Thackeray's demise. Another lesser-known fact about Jaidev Thackeray is that he broke ties with the Thackeray family when he separated from his first wife, Jayashree Kalelkar. The couple welcomed a son, but his identity is unknown even to this very day. After parting ways with Jayashree, Jaidev got married to Smita Thackeray, who is a renowned film producer and social activist. The couple welcomed two kids, Rahul Thackeray and Aaishvary Thackeray.
However, cracks soon started appearing in Jaidev Thackeray and his wife, Smita Thackeray, and finally, in 2004, the court granted them divorce. After many years of their divorce, during the property dispute, Jaidev disowned his son, Aaishvary, revealing that he was not his biological son. The confession broke the headlines as Bal Thackeray had mentioned in his will that the first floor of his bungalow belongs to his grandson, Aaishvary. For the unversed, Jaidev got married for a third time to a lady named Anuradha after divorcing Smita. He is currently leading a steady life with his third wife, Anuradha and their daughter, Madhuri.
Talking about Balasaheb Thackeray's grandson, Aaishvary Thackeray is quite popular on social media. While most of his cousins are in politics, taking their grandfather, Balasaheb Thackeray's legacy ahead, Aaishvary is trying to get into the film industry.
The youngster has more than 8K followers on his Instagram handle. From posting dance videos to raising the temperature with his stunning pictures from exotic photoshoots, Aaishvary has an impressive style quotient.
Despite being the grandson of one of the greatest political leaders in India's history, Aaishvary is building his own story step by step. His professional journey began in Bollywood, when he got the opportunity to assist the critically acclaimed filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in his film, Bajirao Mastani.

As per multiple reports, Aaishvary Thackeray had done a lot of theatre during and after college, glimpses of which we can see on his Instagram handle. A source close to the Thackeray clan had shared that Aaishvary underwent five years of training in filmmaking, during which he also worked on a series of projects.
The source further added that there's a slight possibility that we will see Aaishvary being a part of big Bollywood projects in the coming years. The source quoted:
"Aaishvary has spent five years striving to establish himself on film sets, learning the detailed work involved in filmmaking. He also has a deep interest in art and music, which will be central to his career path. Don't be surprised if we see some big announcements featuring Aaishvary in the next year."
Even before entering the film industry, Aaishvaray Thackery has already started making a noise in the gossip columns. As per multiple sources, Pooja Bedi and Farhan Furniturewala's daughter, Alaya F is reportedly dating Balasaheb Thackeray's grandson, Aaishvary Thackeray. It all started back in 2021 when the duo was spotted partying together. However, both of them denied dating each other and played the 'just friends' card when the media questioned them about the same.

Multiple reports indicate that Alaya F is still in a relationship with Aaishvaray, but they're keeping it low-key. However, they have not confirmed this in public. It will be interesting to see when Aaishvaray will make his debut as an actor in Bollywood. It will indeed be a proud moment for Aaishvaray's mother, Smita Thackeray, who has been a pillar of strength for her son, who was disowned by her ex-husband, Jaidev Thackeray. For the unversed, Smita Thackeray is a renowned film producer, who has produced a series of blockbuster Bollywood films like Dil Dhadakne Do, Gully Boy, Jawan, and many more.
We hope Aaishvary Thackeray dominates the Hindi film industry, just like his grandfather, Balasaheb Thackeray, who ruled the political space. What are your thoughts about him? Let us know.
