Priya Malik is a poetess and stand-up performer, who spread the art of spoken word to the world around and how. However, it was her stint in reality shows like Bigg Boss 9, Nazar, Crime Patrol, Savdhaan India amongst many others. In her personal life, she got married to Karan Bakshi in a close-knit Anand Karaj ceremony in 2012. It was in February 2024, when Priya announced the biggest secret of her life, and revealed she was expecting her first child soon. And now, the diva finally got promoted to motherhood.
In a recent interaction with ETimes, Priya Malik rejoiced on sharing the best news of her life, as she remarked being blessed with a healthy baby boy. She divulged that she delivered her son on March 24, 2024, during the auspicious occasion of choti Holi. The newbie mom, Priya, termed it as a magical experience, and mentioned she was doing fine. Moreover, she adorably revealed the nickname she and her husband, Karan have given their son. In her words:
“Baby Bakshi was born on 24.03.24 on the auspicious occasion of choti Holi! We’re overjoyed to have our sahibzaada in our lives. That’s what we’re calling him at home right now! I’m doing well and settling into my new role as a mom. Its such a magical feeling! Its like having your heart reside in another person’s body and that too, forever.”

Priya Malik, previously, in an interaction with The Times of India, had revealed suffering from a painful miscarriage earlier, post which she finally conceiving her rainbow child. She remarked how she always wanted to be a mom, and even planned on freezing her eggs. However, after she lost her first baby, she wanted to heal and give herself time to process the loss, before trying again. She had expressed:
“I always wanted to be a mom. It felt natural. I am getting to an age where I know my biological clock is running. In fact, I was planning on freezing my eggs. And I conceived it naturally. Then we lost the baby within the first three months. Coming from a loss to another pregnancy was very different. People talk about pregnancy but not miscarriage. I wanted to process that loss and welcome the rainbow baby.”
Back on March 14, 2024, Priya Malik dropped an array of pictures for her godbharai ceremony along with her hubby, Karan Bakshi and their family members. For the special event, the artist slipped into a vintage outfit consisting of a pastel pink-hued silk salwar kameez, paired with a mughal booti jhaalar odhni. She completed her subtle look with pattra-style jewellery and handmade parandi, On the other hand, her hubby, Karan looked handsome simple kurta-pyjama teamed with a Nehru coat.

Previously, in an interview with a leading news portal, Priya Malik was asked about the kind of mother she thinks she would become for her then soon-to-be-born child. She replied how as a person, she has always deeply immersed herself in love, and the same logic would also apply for her child. Moreover, Priya asserted that she would always be supportive to her kid, no matter what.
