The film, Maine Pyar Kiya had made Bhagyashree a star overnight. However, while her fans wanted to see more of her on-screen, she had decided to leave everything behind for the sake of love. Yes, she had fallen in love and had wanted to be with the man of her dreams, Himalaya Dasani, forever, bidding goodbye to Bollywood. The actress had a run-away wedding, and now, her daughter, Avantika Dassani recalled her first experience of watching her mother’s film.
For the unversed, Bhagyashree belongs to a royal Marathi family and had to run away from her castle to be with the love of her life. She had tied the knot with businessman, Himalaya Dasani in 1990. The couple is blessed with a son, Abhimanyu Dasani and a daughter, Avantika Dassani. Their happy nest is what a perfect ever-after looks like!

In an interview with The Indian Express, Bhagyashree’s daughter, Avantika Dassani recalled her first experience of watching her mother’s film, Maine Pyar Kiya, and shared that she couldn’t bear to see her mom sad and had walked out of the room. She recalled:
“I watched it a couple of times when I was much younger. When I first saw it, I couldn’t take it because I couldn’t watch my mom being sad. It would not sit well with me. So, I would walk out of the room."
Further in the conversation, Avantika added that eventually, she understood what Bhagyashree’s film, Maine Pyar Kiya meant to the viewers as her mom is showered with love for the movie even after 30 years of its release. She concluded:
“We saw that anywhere we go, mom was showered with love and praise even after 30 years of its release. It is a reminder of the fact that when you do something so amazing, the industry will repay you with years of love.”

On the popular comedy show, Zee Comedy Show, Bhagyashree had recalled when she had started crying after knowing that she had to hug Salman Khan in one of the scenes of their film, Maine Pyar Kiya. The actress had said:
"I was just 18 years old and thought I was in love at that time and going to get married, I had never even hugged a guy till then. So, I got worried, and I started crying after hearing that I will have to hug Salman during a song sequence in Maine Pyaar Kiya."

However, the revelation that had got everyone's attention was when Bhagyashree had revealed that she wasn't comfortable in kissing her co-star, Salman Khan, on-screen. She had said:
"I was about to get married, so I wasn't so comfortable doing a kissing scene back then. So, Sooraj sir came up with an idea of having a glass in between us and the kiss would be showcased through that. That's how they changed the sequence."
On the work front, Bhagyashree’s daughter, Avantika Dassani is all set to make her acting debut with the ZEE5 web series, Mithya.
