Bharti Singh, a name that needs no introduction, is hailed as the queen of laughter. The comedienne, who never fails to tickle our laughter bones, worked really hard to attain the fame she enjoys now. Raised in a poverty-stricken family, Bharti has seen hardships since childhood. In a recent interview, she opened up about the struggles her mother endured post her father’s demise.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bharti shared how her mother struggled to raise her three children after her father’s death and said:
“My mother got married at a very young age of 15 and by the time she was 22, she had three children. My father passed away very early and my mom was left alone with us. So many people suggested my mother to get married again and they got her marriage proposals from men who already had 2 children. But she refused to marry and said that her family will be spilt."

Bharti, who makes people laugh their hearts out, has gone through the darkest phase in her childhood. Revealing how she used to wait outside her house for her family members to switch on the lights, Bharti stated:
“My mother worked as housemaid, in factories, she struggled a lot for us. I grew up before age as I have seen hardships. I used to wait outside my house for my mother, sister, and brother to come back from work as my hands were too small to switch on the lights."
In the same interview, Bharti also stated that despite so many hardships in life, she believes in God and has seen him in the form of her family. She also recalled her mother’s precious words that still motivate her whenever she steps out for work and said:
“Even today, whenever I go for a shoot, I remember my mother and her words. She used to say, 'You can be scared as much as you can but do not be scared while you are on stage.' This is something which motivates me."

For Bharti, her mother is the most amazing woman, who left her settled life in Amritsar to help her daughter pursue her career in the industry. In an interview with Bollywood Life, Bharti talked about her mother and stated that if she didn’t take the initiative to bring her to The Laughter Challenge auditions, there would have been no Bharti Singh.
Bharti rose to fame with her character 'Lalli' in the comedy reality show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season 4. It was her sheer dedication towards her work, which had made her a star overnight. In 2017, Bharti got married to scriptwriter, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, and the adorable couple was blessed with a baby boy in April 2022.
On the work front, Bharti is currently seen in the comedy series, Favvara Chowk.
