Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives created quite a splash when its latest season dropped. The show's third run pitted our Bollywood wives against Delhi's socialite queens, as its concept revolved around the never-ending war between Mumbai and Delhi. Chunky Panday's wife and fashion entrepreneur, Bhavana Pandey, has now weighed in on the debate, having experienced life in both cities.
The stunning cast of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives recently appeared for an interview with Hauterrfly. Well, Bhavana Pandey took the opportunity to get candid about the Mumbai vs Delhi debate. According to her, the biggest difference she had noticed between the two cities was in the looks people would give you based on how you dress.
Bhavana stated that the beach was right in front of her house when she lived in Bombay. So, she would don the 'tiniest shorts' and a t-shirt to head out for a run every morning without even thinking about it. She then moved to Delhi, believing she could keep up her usual running routine. However, on her very first day in the city, she realised that her usual running outfit would need to change. She narrated:
"I remember I went for a run on the first day. I was like, my god, you cannot do this here. And that is a big difference I found between Bombay and Delhi."
Bhavana Pandey's comments were backed up by Delhi socialite, Kalyani Saha Chawla, who stated that one would have to be 'completely psychotic' to dress like that in Delhi. Following the same, Bhavana elaborated on her reasons for drawing such a conclusion and said:
"And you know it's not generalising, but they say it's in the eye. Somehow, you know, I don't know what it is, but it's in the look. You just feel awkward. You feel very conscious."
In a recent interview with Zoom, Bhavana Pandey was asked about the advice she had for her daughter, Ananya Panday, regarding relationships. She stated that she would tell Ananya or any young girl to be 'very sure' of what she wants as marriage is a 'huge commitment.' Talking about how to deal with a relationship that wasn't working out, she said:
"If it is not working out for any reason, don't push it. Don't let it affect you in any manner. I just feel if it's working out and it makes you happy, then great, but if it doesn't, it's fine."
During a chat with Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, and Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey called herself an industry outsider, leaving everyone stunned. In an interview with Hauterrfly, she confirmed that she still thought of herself like that. According to her, everyone at that table had once been an outsider, as none of them were born in the film industry.
What do you think about Bhavana Pandey's revelations about feeling uncomfortable because of the looks people gave her in Delhi?
