Bhumi Pednekar is undoubtedly one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. The diva never leaves a chance to stun everyone with her exceptional acting skills and jaw-dropping looks. Bhumi made her acting debut with the film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha in 2015. Later, she went onto to work in blockbuster films like Pati Patni Aur Woh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Badhaai Do, Lust Stories, Raksha Bandhan and many more. Currently, the diva is bagging immense success for her film, Thank You For Coming. However, she has been receiving a lot of hatred for doing bold scenes in the film and now, she opened up about the same.
In an interview with News18, Bhumi Pednekar opened up about her film, Thank You For Coming and her choice of doing bold scenes in the film. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she did not have hesitations while filming the bold scenes. Adding that her bold scenes were not revealing and it was all silhouette, Bhumi said:
"I didn't think it through. I have a strong belief in our audience and the fans I've built. If you closely examine that scene, you won't see anything revealing. It was a silhouette, and I was fully clothed throughout the scene. This is where the filmmaker's artistic approach plays a role. Karan explained that it was a silhouette shot. I believe the orgasm scene was filmed in a beautiful way. Karan told me that the camera would only capture my facial expressions."

Further, in the same conversation, Bhumi opened up about her character, 'Kanika Kapoor' and mentioned that her character was searching for love. Adding how women constantly blame themselves or feel incomplete, Bhumi mentioned that women are made to feel that they are not enough. In her words:
"My character wasn't seeking just pleasure, she was searching for love. She blamed herself for not being able to find love and for meeting the wrong people. She felt incomplete. We often tend to blame ourselves because we're constantly made to feel like we're not good enough as if something is missing in us rather than the boys."

"You can see a little bit of my stomach popping out. So, it wasn't like you had a girl with the perfect figure standing. And I thought that was beautiful. All of us are perfect but we may not be perfect by the standards of the society. It’s these small things that the film wanted to celebrate. That’s why I was very comfortable. I knew that people wouldn’t see it in a cheap way. I really trusted Karan so much and I still do."
On September 5, 2023, Bhumi shared the poster of her upcoming film, Thank You for Coming on her IG handle. In the poster, she could be seen covering herself with a quilt while lying on the bed. However, it was her expressions in the poster that caught everyone's attention.
Soon after Bhumi shared the poster, internet users started dropping their reactions to the same. One internet user reacted to the post and commented, "She had so much potential which got wasted due to her desire to be "fashionista" and cookie cutter Bollywood heroine. Should have chosen better roles she has yef backing but," another one commented, "At one pt, I really like Bhumi but nowadays, I find her onscreen and offscreen persona to be pretentious! Also not sure who r takers of this movie...will tank badly everywhere for sure. Another of Ektaa's black and white money exchange scheme."
