Bigg Boss is full of oh-so-dramatic fights, fun-filled tasks and brewing friendships. The house has also seen many strangers turning into lovebirds. While a few contestants get immense fame from the show, others end up with a bad reputation. The concept of the reality show demands that popular celebrities stay inside a luxurious abode together, help each other in household work, win tasks to get immunity from the weekend eliminations and stay inside the BB house without any contact with the outside world.
Recently, the Salman Khan hosted show is back with its 16th season, and fans make sure to stay glued to their television screens with buckets of popcorn. This time, television actor, Shalin Bhanot is one of the show's contestants, and his closeness with Imlie fame, Sumbul Touqeer, has been making many headlines. However, the actor has allegations of domestic violence on his shoulder which were earlier made by his ex-wife, Dalljiet Kaur.

In a recent interview with KoiMoi, Shalin Bhanot was asked about the allegations of domestic violence against him. Answering this, he said that he doesn’t want to bring back his past because the incident had happened 8 years ago. Shalin can be quoted as saying:
“I don’t plan to deal with it. I don’t get into my past, I have never spoken anything about my past. It’s my personal life. What happened many years back, I think it’s now 8 years, I never spoke anything about it then, why would I speak now? It’s my family yaar!”
In the show Bigg Boss 16, Shalin Bhanot is enjoying a close bond with his co-contestant, Sumbul Touqeer. But many housemates have accused them of faking their relationship for the cameras. While some said they are forcefully trying to bring a love angle to the show, others have labelled their closeness as a publicity stunt.

In one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 16, Manya Singh, who is also a participant in the show, said that Sumbul and Shalin are trying to be the next Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill of the show. In addition, she said that Shehnaaz’s relationship with the late actor, Siddharth was real, whereas Sumbul’s relationship with a once-married man, Shalin, is fake.
