Bobby Deol is one of the most talked about actors nowadays. His role in the recent film, Animal, is something that fans are still obsessed with. The younger son of veteran actor, Dharmendra, Bobby Deol made his debut with the film, Barsaat in 1995. At the beginning of his career, Bobby enjoyed an excellent share of fame and later took a break when he didn't get good work. In 2018, he successfully returned with Race 3 alongside Salman Khan. The actor hasn't looked back since then. He recently sat down for an interview with Times Now and shed light on the 'dark side' of Bollywood that he experienced in his career.

Bobby Deol shares that the Hindi film industry often 'brainwashes' actors

Bobby Deol witnessed highs and lows of being an actor, and the downfall before making a successful comeback, which isn't an easy task. But he managed to revive his career successfully. Bobby recently revealed how sometimes an actor can feel lost in the industry because of how it treats them. So, it compels an actor to take fewer risks and choose an easy way. He added that the industry brainwashes an actor, but he was lucky to get out of it. He was quoted as saying:

"Sometimes you get lost, sometimes because of all the way the industry is reacting to you, you start choosing the more easy and secure path to move forward. You don't want to take challenges, you don't want to put yourself in a situation which is out of your comfort zone, because somewhere everybody brainwashes you. But that's what happens, that's something that is sad that happens to actors. And I luckily realised that and I wanted to get out of it. And a lot of actors try doing that, but they still haven't been able to manage it. But I have."

Bobby reveals being let down by Bollywood writers, directors, and producers

There have often been instances when a film or series began with a specific vision and ended up being something else. Bobby talked about experiencing the same. He said it's difficult for an actor to choose a project and believe in it. He revealed that writers, directors, or projects sometimes let down actors because they focus more on profits and less on creative satisfaction. However, Bobby feels that things are changing now. In his words:

"Choices are something which are so difficult to make, and you tend to believe in something, and then you're let down by the writers or by the director and or the producer. You know, they don't want to make a film just to. As a creative satisfaction. They want to make table profits and things like that. So all that used to happen those days, and I guess things are changing now, and I think it was just high time when people started believing and, you know, changes."
