Bobby Deol is one of the finest actors of his generation. Younger son of veteran actor, Dharmendra and his first wife, Prakash Kaur, Bobby had carved a flourishing career for himself. For the unversed, he made his grand debut with the 1995-film, Barsaat. Thereafter, he went on to create magic on the silver screen with his performances in films like, Soldier, Gupt, Ajnabee, Apne, Humraaz among others.
Bobby Deol recently attended the Jagran Film Festival, where he opened up on several anecdotes from his personal life. Among it all, Bobby opened up on the kind of bonding he shares with his elder brother, Sunny Deol and spoke about the latter’s influence on his life. Calling him a blessing in his life, Bobby revealed how at first, he felt that Sunny used to purposely exert being elder to him and boss him around. Sharing how it was later that he understood the value of his elder brother, Bobby mentioned:

“Since he was 10 years older than me, he left no stone unturned to show that he was superior in every aspect. Despite his poor academic performance, he used to pester me about my studies, making me wonder why he wasn’t concentrating on his own. think his notion was that at least I excelled where he couldn’t. But I didn’t understand it back then. I kept wondering why he was telling me all this when, after all, he was just my brother, not my father. I feel very fortunate that my brother has been.”

In the same event, Bobby spoke up about the aspect of facing a fair share of tribulations in life, despite being popularly hailed as successful superstars. He mentioned that they have been able to come out of the most difficult phase of their lives, as they never gave up. Adding how his brother, Sunny who has always been there for him, Bobby said:
“You might think about our struggles just because we are celebrities. But, in reality, everyone in this world experiences ups and downs. It’s simply a part of life because I don’t see anyone succeeding every day in their endeavours. So, the only way to cope is by not giving up. My brother is a big-hearted man who has always been there for me. During tough times, I remember him advising me not to dwell on our stardom but to see ourselves as beginners and put in the effort.”

In a previous interaction with India Today, Bobby Deol had spilt the beans on the future careers of his sons, Aryaman and Dharam. Bobby mentioned that although both of them have an interest in the craft of films, but he is more focused on his sons completing their education, before stepping into the competitive and uncertain showbiz world.
