Bobby Deol has been hitting all the headlines, most recently, after the release of his film, Animal. Shedding off his popularly known chocolate-boy image, Bobby appeared in a brutal and almost cannibalistic look for the film. However, contrary to his tough on-screen presence, the actor in reality is known to be quite soft and emotional in nature. Moreover, he often wins hearts for his deep connection with his family, and adherence to cultural values and traditions, that the Deol family is known for. Speaking about his personal life, Bobby is married to the love of his life, Tanya Deol and the duo is parents to their son, Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol.
In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Bobby Deol talked about the equation he shares with his firstborn, Aryaman Deol. The doting dad revealed that he is quite protective of his son, and doesn’t want the latter to become as soft and emotional as him. Recalling how his own father, Dharmendra would often inspire him to become strong and independent, Bobby revealed:

“I am the youngest (in the family). I have never been able to face the world in my life easily. It has always been difficult because I am too emotional. So, I don’t want him to be that way. I just want him to be strong. That’s why he went away to New York so that he becomes a strong person.”

In a previous interview with India Today, Bobby talked about the possibility of his sons, Aryaman and Dharam carrying the Deol legacy forward and stepping into stardom as actors. The actor assured that his sons will definitely enter the film industry, but only when the time is right. Adding how they are too young at the moment, Bobby said:
“There's no business like show business, and my sons will come into this industry, but they're too young right now, especially my older one is just 22 years old and the younger one is 19 years, so another 3-4 years time they will enter the industry."
Further, in the same interview, Bobby Deol talked about the qualities of both his sons. While his elder one, Aryaman is interested to join showbiz as an actor, and has even studied abroad for the same, it is his younger son, Dharam who is keen to join filmmaking. Bobby revealed how the latter is particularly interested in the minute details of the scenes in films, and credited Dharam for taking the most stunning pictures of him, that get posted on Instagram.

In one of his older interviews, Bobby Deol opened up about what it meant to be the son of a superhit actor like Dharmendra. He chalked out the disadvantages of being a star kid and shared how it impacted his career and potential in the film industry. In his words:
“It was an advantage initially. But beyond that, it's only your hard work, talent and luck that count. There are so many actors who come every Friday and vanish. I feel those newcomers who aren't from the industry have one advantage. The audience goes expecting nothing. I was compared not just with my dad but also with my brother."
