In Jamal Kudu, we have how it started with clapping to the beats. Talking about the same style, Mumtaz's niece, Shahnaaz Randhawa, shared that this is how the traditional Iranian folk songs are sung, wherein the rhythmical finger-snapping and clappings are a part of it, which is done to make it sound extra catchy. Sharing details about the same, Shahnaaz stated:
"Almost every year we visit Iran and I am very familiar with their catchy traditional Iranian folk-music which also has rhythmic clapping as well as fingers-snapping. Over the years, some of our other Indian composers have also been inspired by catchy Iranian tunes."
Going further in the interview, Shahnaaz Randhawa revealed how several composers were influenced by several Iranian tunes. She also heaped praise on Sandeep Reddy Vanga's movie, Animal and the masterclass performance of the cast. Going forward, she also revealed how the remixed Iranian song, Jamal Kudu was a cherry on the top of the movie. Talking more about the same, Shahnaaz mentioned:
"Actually, the sensational Pakistani retro-song Hawa Hawa Ae Hawa (1987) is also inspired from Iranian singer Kourush Yaghmaei's Havar Havar (1970). Must say, Animal has sterling performances by both Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and both the heroines Rashmika and Tripti . But the musical cherry on 'showman' Sandeep Reddy Vanga's blockbuster Animal movie cake is the brilliantly picturised remixed Iranian song. Am not surprised that this song has gone super-viral . Yeh toh hona hee thha."
