This is an extremely emotional moment for the Indian film industry as the ace director, Siddique left for the heavenly abode at the mere age of 63 after suffering a cardiac arrest. For the unversed, Siddique made his Hindi film debut with the blockbuster movie, Bodyguard starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Apart from this, many of his Malayalam films were also remade in Hindi. However, now the director left the mortal planes at an early age and has been survived by his wife, Sajitha and their three daughters, Sumaya, Sara, and Sukoon.
As per multiple reports, popular Malayalam director, Siddique passed away at the mere age of 63 on August 8, 2023. He was hospitalised after suffering from a cardiac arrest around 3 in the afternoon, on August 7, 2023, at Kochi. As per a report in the Indian Express, the late director, Siddique's funeral will occur at 6 pm on August 9, 2023, in Kochi.

He remained in critical condition at Amrita Hospital in Kochi hospital. There he was subsequently placed on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support before the film director reportedly succumbed to death. Many reports also claimed Siddique was being treated for liver-related problems and pneumonia. And for a while, he was undergoing treatment despite medical support. Indian film actor, Major Ravi, who visited the hospital the previous day, was quoted as saying to Manorama Online:
“He is having breathing issues. Creatine has also increased. Since he is in critical ICU, I couldn’t see him. Three days ago he was transferred back to the hospital room. But then he had a heart attack that worsened his condition. There weren’t major issues. I met a very happy Siddique at a function three months ago. Doctors are talking to his family. Let’s pray.”

Popular director, Siddique made his entry into the Malayalam film industry as an assistant director with his friend and director-turned-actor, Lal. They worked together and delivered some of the biggest hit movies in the industry. For instance, the duo worked in films like Ramji Rao Speaking, In Harihar Nagar, Godfather and Vietnam Colony. Besides directing films in Malayalam, the late director also worked in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. He last worked in the 2020 film, Big Brother, featuring Mohanlal alongside Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Sarjano Khalid, Honey Rose, and Tini Tom.
