The debonair and dashing actor surprised everyone in the year 2015 with the news of the birth of his daughter Inaya without being married to his girlfriend Lucy. Yes, we are talking about Bollywood actor Purab Kohli. The lead actor in Star Plus’ P.O.W.-Bandi Yuddh Ke show is back in the news again and this time again for a good reason.
After becoming parents, the Rock On actor along with his fiancée Lucy Payton has finally tied the nuptial knot on February 15, 2018, and how we are sure of the news is from his co-star, Amrita Puri who shared the news on the social media. She took to her official Instagram handle and posted their adorable picture and the sweet caption said, “My Sartaj Singh is hitched! Congratulations to my reel life husband! Wishing you all the love in the world @purab_kohli & Lucy Kohli.” Check out the picture here:
Here is another picture from his wedding:
What Purab did is so much respectful, no? He didn’t marry his pregnant girlfriend because of the conventional societal pressures but decided to beat the usual path and bring the child into this world and later take the seven vows together as a family. And for the unfamiliar ones, his reason to do such a thing will melt your heart. In an earlier interview, he was quoted as saying, "When Inaya was conceived, we were not married and it didn't matter to me. When Lucy called me and said, 'Hey, we are having a baby,' I said 'Wow. Let's do it.' There was pressure to get married. My mother was the most concerned and my family did say you guys have to get married quickly when she was pregnant." As they named their child ‘love child’, Purab didn’t want to marry in a hush-hush ceremony to his fiancée just because she was pregnant.
He further added that she’s our love child and has bloomed even more love between both of us. Here's what he was quoted as saying, "She is our love child and has bloomed even more love between both of us and made me love life more. I don't want her to ever feel that it was not meant to be. It was meant in every possible way and she was the force of nature and nothing could stop her from coming into this world." For those who do not know, Lucy Payton is a yoga teacher based in the UK. Earlier, the duo was planning to get married by the end of 2017 but guess, this was the right time to tie the knot forever!
