Bollywood director, Boney Kapoor had fallen head-over-heels in love with India's first female superstar, Sridevi. He had tried his best to woo her in the initial days. The duo's love story had brewed on the sets of Indian cinema's iconic film, Mr India. Sridevi was playing the protagonist in the movie, and Boney was producing it. After being in a hush-hush relationship, Boney and Sridevi had tied the knot in the year 1996.
However, the sudden demise of Sridevi in the year 2018 had left Boney Kapoor heartbroken. The director, who recently joined Instagram, often shares unseen pictures of his late wife, Sridevi and their daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

On January 25, 2022, Boney took to his Instagram handle and posted an unseen picture from one of their vacation in Canada. In the photo, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi were posing in front of Niagara Falls. Sridevi had held their daughter, Janhvi in her arms. The family had looked adorable. Alongside it, Boney wrote:
"At Niagra falls in 1998"
A couple of days ago, Boney had shared an unseen picture of Sridevi from the Durga puja. In the photo, she was flaunting a beautiful cream-coloured saree and her husband, Boney's name was written on her back with sindoor. Along with it, Boney had written:
"In Lucknow celebrating one of the festivities of Durga Puja at Sahara Sahar in year 2012."

For those who don't know, Sridevi's mother, who used to handle her finances, had demanded Rs 10 Lakh from Boney Kapoor to sign the film, Mr India. However, the producer was already in love with the actress, so he had said that he would pay Rs 11 Lakh to get Sridevi on the board. In a media interaction, Boney had described his love for Sridevi in one line and had said:
"I went up to her set, met her and when I met her it was almost like a dream coming true."
Sridevi had taken her last breath in a hotel in Dubai on February 24, 2018.
