Boney Kapoor is one of the most renowned producers and filmmakers in the entertainment industry. He has made a name for himself in the film industry by producing popular films like Mr. India, Mili, Judaai, Prem, Sirf Tum, Hum Paanch, Shamitabh, Pukar and many more. Moreover, the actor recently made his acting debut with the film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
In a candid conversation with The New Indian, Boney Kapoor opened up about his life, career and much more. When asked about his contribution to the careers of his family members, the filmmaker revealed that he did what he felt was right. He added that he guided his wife, Sridevi and his family members in their careers because it was his duty. Elaborating more on it, he said:
"Maine har wo cheez ki hai jo mujhe theek lagti thi. I thought it was my job and my duty, and I did that thinking that I was doing it for myself. If I guided Anil, it was not just for him, it was for us. If I guided Sri, it was not just for her, it was for us. If I guide my children today, whether it’s Arjun, Janhvi, or Anshula, as a matter of fact, Sanjay, whatever guidance they need, whatever my experience can give, it is just there."

Further, in the same conversation, Boney was asked if he received an equal amount of love from the people that he has given to them, and the producer gave a beautiful response. Mentioning that he doesn't believe in a barter system, Boney stated he got immense love from the people around him. In his words:
"Aisi koi situation nahin jahan mujhe pyar nahin mila." Pyaar nahin hota to do tarfa relation nahin hota. I got immense love. There was not such a situation where I'd not received love. If love wasn’t two ways, there must not have been relations. I got immense love. He further stated that he is not the only reason why they are successful, lest he has contributed 1% to it."
In the same interview, Boney recalled the toughest phase of his life when his film, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja flopped. Talking about the same, the producer mentioned that his family supported him during that time. He also recalled how his first wife, Mona Singh walked barefoot to Siddhivinayank temple to seek blessings.

Boney had also opened up about rumours of Sridevi being pregnant with Janhvi Kapoor before their marriage in the same conversation. Talking about the same, he mentioned that they got married on June 2, however, after Sridevi's pregnancy was seen, they had to marry publicly in January 1997. In his words:
"My marriage to Sri took place in Shirdi, on June 2. That’s when we exchanged vows. We were there, we spent the night there. And it was only in January 1997, when her pregnancy was seen, that we had no choice but to marry publicly. In public, we were married only in January 1997. There are still some scribes who write that Janhvi was conceived before marriage."
