Bronze Medalist At Paris Olympics, Aman Sehrawat Shed 4.6 Kg In 10 Hours In Such A Remarkable Way

Indian woman wrestler, Vinesh Phogat made her nation proud with her stint at the Paris Olympics 2024. Unfortunately, Vinesh, her coaches and the entire nation's dream was shattered when she was disqualified from the finals for being overweight by just 100 grams. Everyone sided with the wrestler after her heartbreaking moment, and she even announced her retirement from wrestling. However, following her, all eyes were stuck on the Indian male wrestler, Aman Sehrawat, who also weighed 4.5 kg more than the finale's limit soon after the semifinal round was over.

Aman Sehrawat shed 4.6 kg in just 10 hours and could grab the bronze medal at Paris Olympics 2024

Aman's match against Japan's Rei Higuchi concluded around 6:30 PM on August 8, 2024. However, the concern about the wrestler's few kgs more weight couldn't leave him and his coaches, Jagmander Singh and Virender Dahiya, to take any risk. Thus, they embarked on the journey to meet Aman's required weight for the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Their hard work and perseverance undoubtedly paid off when Aman won the bronze medal, defeating Puerto Rico's Darian Cruz on August 9, 2024. Aman's achievement made him India's youngest Olympic medalist.
