Alia Bhatt, who tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022, made many unconventional bridal fashion choices at her wedding. From draping an ivory-hued saree and flaunting diamond and emerald jewellery, Alia took her bridal look a notch higher. Talking about her mehendi, Alia opted for a minimal mandala henna design with symbols like infinity, Ranbir's lucky number 8, and the letter R. On the back side of her hand, she had a circular pattern etched along with some minute designs on the top part of her fingers.
There's a common misconception that the trend of minimal bridal mehendi began last year. Mira Rajput, who tied the knot with the handsome hunk, Shahid Kapoor in 2015, had got a minimalistic mehendi during her wedding. As Mira always ensured not to go OTT, she was seen flaunting a minimal mandala mehendi design on her hand in her wedding pictures. Talking about her look, she looked nothing less than royalty. Mira Rajput chose a light pink-hued lehenga from designer, Anamika Khanna which was adorned with silver and golden work. Glam makeup and heavy kundan jewellery completed her look.

For the unversed, Somya was previously married to a US-based businessman, Arun Kapoor, in January 2017, but they got divorced in 2019. For her mehendi ceremony, Somya donned a floral-printed dress and looked flawless in her minimal look. Dia Mirza took saat pheras with businessman, Vaibhav Rekhi, in February 2021. For her wedding, the actress opted for a traditional red saree styled with a matching dupatta as a veil on her head. To accessorise her look, Dia wore green bangles, kadhas, a statement neckpiece, matching earrings and a maang teeka. Keeping her makeup minimal, the actress tied her hair beautifully in a gajra-adorned bun. Her subtle mehendi design featured leaf motifs, some Arabic-inspired elements and a unique pattern made with mor pankh.

Anushka Ranjan took the wedding vows with the love of her life, Aditya Seal, on November 22, 2021. She donned a lavender-hued lehenga paired with stunning diamond jewellery. Apart from her unconventional choice of colour for her bridal outfit, her minimal mehendi design also stood out. The actress was seen flaunting a minimal mandala-inspired henna design on her palms, that perfectly complemented her subtle look at her wedding.
