Charu Asopa is one of the most popular actresses in the Television industry. She has worked in several popular serials like Mere Angne Mein, Jiji Maa, Akbar Ka Bal Birbal, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Baal Veer, Karn Sangini and much more. However, more than her professional life, she often hits the headlines for her personal life. Charu and her ex-husband, Rajeev Sen's marital life made a lot of headlines after the duo maligned each other's characters publicly. Finally, after months of allegations, she got divorced from her estranged husband, Rajeev, on June 8, 2023. Now, Charu and Rajeev are co-parenting their daughter, Zianna.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Charu Asopa opened up about receiving judgements and hate for making her marital life with Rajeev Sen public. Talking about the same, the actress revealed if she regrets talking about her personal life on public platforms. She mentioned that she talked about her and Rajeev's disputes only after her character was maligned publicaly. Charu further stated that constant lies were told about her and her daughter will read the same when she will grow up, so she had to share her side of the story. Elaborating more on it, Charu said:
"I gave an interview where I spoke about these things. I never wanted to do this but back-to-back 'mujh par laanchchan lagaaye ja rahe the,' 'jhooth bola ja raha tha'. I had no other choice but to speak out in public. I stay with my daughter and when people are talking something about me, she'll read them when she grows up. After that too, people didn't stop, they kept speaking ill but I said whatever I thought was necessary for everyone to know."

Further, in the same interview, on being asked about Zianna reading the news about her parents' split, Charu mentioned that she doesn't know how her daughter will react to the same. The actress said that she hopes her daughter will grow up to be a wise being. The actress also opened up about her equation with her ex-husband, Rajeev Sen and shared that they are in a better position now. Charu mentioned that she and Rajeev are slowly becoming friends, and they are taking care of their baby girl, Zianna, together.
Charu also talked about Rajeev's wish to give their relationship another chance. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she can't say anything about the same as it's too early. She also revealed that Rajeev might have said this in the heat of the moment. Mentioning how their divorce got finalised on June 8, 2023, Charu said:
"I don't know what to say. I can't say anything about it right now because it is too early. I don't know why he's saying all this and that too this early, our divorce just got finalised on June 8. I think he gave this statement in the flow of his emotions."

For the unversed, it was on June 8, 2023, when Charu estranged husband, Rajeev had announced their divorce by dropping a picture on his IG handle. In the photo, Rajeev could be seen hugging Charu from behind, and they looked adorable together. He even penned an emotional note, which could be read as:
"There are no good byes! Just two people who just couldn’t hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remain mom and dad to our daughter.”
