Charu Asopa REACTS To Growing Closeness With Ex-Husband, Rajeev: 'People Will Say Yeh Mooh Utha...'

Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen had a troubled marriage. They would often make statements in the media about the pain they both were feeling while being together. After four years of a rollercoaster marriage, Charu and Rajeev got divorced. However, they continue to co-parent their daughter, Ziana. The actress, who has healed from the scars of the past, maintains a cordial relationship with Rajeev for the sake of their baby girl and to give her a normal future.

Charu often shares mushy photos with her husband, Rajeev, and people often wonder if they are planning to get back together. In fact, Charu has repeatedly denied this, but it seems like her fans do not stop taunting her for her friendship with her ex-husband. Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Charu revealed that she has buried the ghosts of the past and shares a good friendship with Rajeev.

The Devon Ke Dev Mahadev actress further revealed that they got divorced mutually and Rajeev always had access to Ziana. She revealed that initially, it was difficult to act normal, but for the sake of their daughter, they have decided to give her a normal upbringing. She said:

"Hum puraani baaton ko bhool kar Ziana ke liye aagey badh rahe hain. Rajeev and my divorce happened mutually and he always had access to Ziana. Although it was difficult for me at first, we realised we needed to be on better terms for our daughter’s sake. So, after maintaining a cordial relationship, we have now become friends - for her. That’s all there is to it."

Rajeev and Charu's baby girl, Ziana, is two and a half years old, and the parents are genuinely making efforts to give her two loving homes. Charu never stops Ziana from meeting Rajeev. However, people often comment on her relationship status with her ex-husband. Talking about the same, Charu shared that people's comments do not bother her.

Charu added that people will have an opinion on whatever she does. If she does not let Rajeev meet their daughter, Ziana, netizens would comment. Charu was quoted as saying:

"Nowadays, anyone with a phone can leave a comment, but I don’t let that bother me. If I let my daughter meet Rajeev, people will say, yeh muh utha kar phir chali gayi Rajeev ke paas and if I don’t, they’ll accuse me of depriving her of her father’s love."

Rajeev and Charu were once hailed as the most loving couple. In 2019, the couple got married in an intimate affair in Goa, and it was attended by Rajeev Sen's sister, Sushmita Sen. However, within a year, murmurs of their fights made headlines. Their fights escalated to a level that in 2022, after the birth of their daughter, Rajeev and Charu decided to divorce, but they called it off within a few weeks. However, the duo was still not able to solve their differences, and in 2023, they officially parted ways.
