The year 2020 and 2021 has been quite a topsy-turvy curve for the people of the country with the global pandemic taking a toll on people's mental health. However, in Bollywood, we have also witnessed a good number of couples, who have either tied the knot during this time or embraced parenthood. From Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anushka Sharma to Dia Mirza, all these actresses have embraced motherhood amidst the pandemic.
In telly town, Kishwer Merchant, Aditi Mallik, Anita Hassanandani and Charu Asopa Sen have also added their names to this list of actresses who have embraced motherhood. While Aditi Malik and Anita Hassanandani have already welcomed their baby boys into their lives, Kishwer Merchant and Charu Asopa Sen are making the best utilisation of this phase of motherhood, as it can be seen through the social media accounts.

Television actress, Charu Asopa Sen who was seen in shows like Baalveer, Mere Angne Mein and Jiji Maa had tied the knot to actor, Rajeev Sen on June 16, 2019, in Goa in a private ceremony after few months of dating each other. Rajeev and Charu had met through a common friend for the first time at a mall in Mumbai but Charu was going through a rough patch in her life back then as she had broken her engagement with actor, Neeraj Malviya. However, love blossomed between the duo and she found her soulmate in model, Rajeev Sen.
It was on May 21, 2021 that the duo had taken to their respective IG handles to announce their pregnancy. Rajeev had posted a picture with his wife, Charu Asopa Sen and had written, "Happiness is on the way #weare3."
On June 5, 2021, Charu Asopa Sen took to her Instagram handle to share a video in which she was seen flaunting her small baby bump in a mustard yellow polka dot two-piece dress. The actress was also seen grooving to the song Gila Gila Gila from the movie, Aitraaz. While the actress is having the best of her time during this pregnancy period, she has also put forward a very important message for all the pregnant women out there. The actress wrote, "Pregnancy is not a disease, it’s a rebirth of a woman. Enjoy the time but safely." While the actress radiated some amazing pregnancy glow in the video, the caption to the video was also on point.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Charu had shared the expression of her husband, Rajeev Sen and other family members. Recalling the day she had first got to know about the news, she had said, "I remember I was shivering in the bathroom, and couldn't even come outside for 15-20 minutes. Then I told Rajeev and he was also confused and didn't know how to express. It was late at night, we didn't know if we should tell the family then or wait until morning. Then we video called everyone at 12:30 am, I wish I had have recorded their expressions. They all were so happy."
She had also shared that she is taking extra precautions in her pregnancy as going to the hospital even for normal; check-up is scary amidst the pandemic. She had said, "My first trimester was such that the doctors had said if I got Covid then, there was no cure for it. Therefore, you have to be very careful all the way and wore a double mask." A proud Bua, Sushmita Sen was very happy on hearing the news of Charu's pregnancy and she had taken to her Instagram handle to announce that the expected delivery date of the child is going to be somewhere around her birthday.
