Good news is raining in the tinsel town! While some celebrities are taking the plunge and deciding on forever with their beaus, there are others who are entering to parenthood for the first time or second. One of our very beautiful and gorgeous actresses from television, Chhavi Mittal falls under the latter category. For the ones who don’t know, Chhavi walked down the aisle with Mohit Hussein in 2005 and on December 20, 2012, they became parents to a little angel, Areeza. And now, in 2019, the lovebirds are all set to embrace parenthood for the second time. Announcing her pregnancy news with all her fans and well-wishers online, Chhavi took to Instagram and shared a lovely picture working out in gym with the cute baby bump. Along with the snap, she penned, “Women and fitness is badass. Pregnant women and fitness is f**kin badass! I'm really happy and proud to announce that I'm gonna be a second time mommy soon! Surprisingly every single person who knows I'm pregnant has told me "oh you can eat all you like now!" But they couldn't be more wrong. It is not only imperative, but also my duty towards the life inside me to take care of my health and fitness every bit more than I usually do. I like to say, "I don't EAT for two, I have to be HEALTHY for two!"”
Ever since, Chhavi is expecting for the second time, she has been an ardent social media user. Right from revealing her diet and workout plans to sharing her journey to giving a shout out to all the preggers out there, Chhavi has done it all! And now in an exclusive interaction with us, Chhavi opened up about baby's name, pregnancy cravings, how Areeza is prepping up for her little sibling, and much more. On being asked if she and her husband have decided on a name for the little one, Chhavi stated, "Okay, so we haven't decicded on any name. As in, we do have a few options in mind, but nothing as of now is finalised yet. And I hope before the baby comes, we have a name because i mean the last time we had a baby, we were more prepared, we had a name for a baby girl and a name for a baby boy. So, this time also, we want to do it like that. But right now, we have a few options and nothing is finalised yet."
When we asked, "What about your pregnancy cravings? What all are you craving to have mostly this second time of your pregnancy?" The beautiful mommy-to-be replied, "Cravings this pregnancy have been many. They keep changing, there is no fixed craving. So, sometimes I crave food and I want it right now. So, the will power factor has reduced a lot during pregnancy. I have been craving for ice-creams, junk food, pizzas. Apart from that, cold coffee, though in pregnancy, you are not allowed to have too much coffee. So, that's one of the biggest cravings I have to fight. And Indian sweets, which I don't normally like. I like cakes, but in pregnancy, I have been craving Indian sweets like, halwa, gulab jaamun and all." When we further asked her as to what are the most annoying side effects of being pregnant (though it's one of the beautiful phases), Chhavi replied, "Most annoying side-effect of pregnancy for me is the discomfort, which I feel in the third trimester. The stomach has become too big and walking is a bit of a trouble. And sleepless nights is another side-effect that has bothered me a lot. I wake up in the night and I can't go back to sleep. Apart from that, pigmentaton, dry skin, but another is swelling in the ankles and pain in the feet."

What are the beautiful feelings that you are experiencing in this amazing phase of your life? To this, the Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann actress retorted, "When the baby kicks, and specially now the baby kicks a lot during this time. Second and third trimester have been a lot eventful for the baby. Feeling the baby kicks is very very amazing. I can actually see my stomach dance, go from left to right. And the attention that other people give. You always get a seat, you always get your food orders first and people in my office get me interesting things to eat. So, it's a good feeling. And yeah, I can get away with almost anything if I say I am pregnant."
As we see Chhavi is still on her toes working during this time, so when we asked how she manages everything, work and home, she replied, "Managing work and home is all about time management. If you manage your time well, you can manage everything. And I am not the first pregnant mother who is working so I draw inspiration from my mother, my mother-in-law who didn't have any other support when they were pregnant. They worked, so I feel why shouldn't I. And I have a lot of support from my husband. So, managing home and work is something we do together and that helps alot because this is something that I don't do alone."
Sharing her experience of parenting, Chhavi remarked, "Well, parenting is not something that is planned. You have to be very open, flexible as a parent, you cannot be rigid that is one thing I have learnt as a parent to my first child. One thing that Mohit and I both agree with is that we should let our kids be as close to nature as possible and as away from the plastic thing and the digital things, malls and play areas and fancy things. And we would like to at least try to make our kid as grounded as possible." (Don't Miss: Ranveer Singh Wanted Deepika Padukone To Change This Habit Before Their Marriage)
Chhavi also shared how her and Mohit's daughter, Areeza reacted to the news. Chhavi remarked, "Areeza was ecstatic when she heard that there is a baby in my tummy. She almost didn't believe me and couldn't stop laughing. She is so excited, she loves to kiss the belly, she loves to feel the kicks. And everytime she feels the kick, she has a really cute expressions on her face and where she is like, "Oh My Goddd!!! And she has a lot of plans for the baby. The toys she is gonna give the baby, the clothes she is going to give the baby. She ideally wants to have a sister, but she is perfectly fine even if it is a brother as long as it's cute and she thinks it's going to be the cutest in the whole world."
Signing off with advice to other preggers out there, Chhavi quipped, "My only advice is that just stay happy, try to eat right. Don't eat junk because whatever you are eating, your child is getting nutrition from that. So, just be happy, try to be just as active in your daily chores if you cannot workout for your and baby's health and try to eat as healthy as possible."
Lately, Chhavi wrote an open letter to all the pregnant ladies out there for carrying out the most difficult task so seamlessly. Chhavi shared a lovely picture of hers and along with the same, she wrote, “Pregnancy. That special time when everybody around you should make you feel special. Love you, pamper you. You're carrying another life inside you, bearing discomfort. Immense discomfort, physical restrictions, eating restrictions, socialising restrictions and whatnot. And working women who are putting this added physical as well as emotional pressure on yourselves, take a minute and pat yourselves on the back!"
She further went on to write, “Coz your own pat is the most important. Coz that's what'll make you smile and make you proud. like I feel today. I feel proud of myself when my baby kicks my insides hard, when I can't sleep in the nights because of one leg going numb, because I find simple things like tossing and turning and walking so difficult! And I feel proud of myself when inspite of all that I continue with my daily responsibilities with a smile on my face.So my dear pregnant woman, take a breather and feel proud of all that you do, all that you're currently doing.” (Also Check: Puru Chibber Of Pavitra Rishta Ties Knot With Bestfriend, Shares First Picture From Dreamy Wedding)
And concluded with, “And if there is anybody who is ill-treating you or hurting you or making you feel any less special than you deserve to be. Now is the time to let them go from your life forever. Coz apart from all that Pregnancy is, it is also a test for all others around you. A deciding test whether they love you and deserve you or not! Cheers to a happy present and a happier future with a happier, stronger you!”
Of late, during a ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram, Chhavi was asked by a user, “What was your motivation factor to have second baby? Working mom so confused to go for second one.” To this she replied, “It took me 6 years to reach this decision. I guess there’s no particular reason, you just feel it when you’re ready.”
Sharing her diet plan, the mommy-to-be wrote, “A lot of you have been asking me what I eat in a day. Honestly, there's no hard and fast rule that I follow. I don't like to deprive myself of cravings, and I don't like to overdo sin. That's my motto. I drink a lot of water and during pregnancy have reduced my coffee to only half a teaspoon (upto 200mg a day is allowed though).” (Don't Miss: Nita Ambani Gives A Special Dance Performance At Akash Ambani And Shloka Mehta's Wedding Reception)
And had further added, “Pointers in case it helps you! Pre-breakfast: Smoothie. It has 1 banana, greek yogurt, flaxseeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, wheatgrass powder, coconut oil, muesli, dates, berries (whatever's available) and sometimes organic cocoa. Breakfast: 2 stuffed paranthas with butter, 2 whole eggs with cheese, oats, pancakes, sandwich. Mid-morning: 1 of those jaggery and dry fruit laddoos and coffee. Lunch: dal, veg (whatever's cooked), 2 rotis, salad. Evening snack: mostly nothing. I start feeling fuller at this time after all the hogging. Dinner (at 7ish): Chicken, mutton with 2 rotis and salad.”
Here’s wishing Chhavi a very easy and smooth pregnancy. We all are eagerly waiting for your little munchkin to arrive!
