Chhavi Mittal and Mohit Hussein gave birth to their second child, a baby boy whom they named Arham on May 13, 2019. From sharing Arham’s birthing story to how she took her just-born to the office in less than a month after delivery, Chhavi Mittal has inspired many expecting mothers out there. And surely, we can now stamp her as the brand ambassador and leader of pregnant mommies, right? We all know that pregnancy leads to innumerable complications and most scary of which is the post-pregnancy weight gain.
Chhavi Mittal, in her latest Instagram post, has detailed out about her post-pregnancy weight loss. Sharing with her fans that she had gained 12-15 kgs during her pregnancy and never really kept a track of the same, Chhavi Mittal has written, “POST PREGNANCY WEIGHT LOSS I have been bombarded with questions related to weight loss post pregnancy. The inbox is flooded, the comment section is flooded and hence here I am sharing whatever little I know in this regard. Firstly, I have NOT lost the weight this soon, like most of you have commented. I had put on approximately 12-15 kgs during pregnancy. I didn't really keep a track of how much since I felt that was not of primary importance as long as the baby's weight in the womb was growing steadily. And now that the baby is out, I still have about 6-8 kgs to lose to get into my pre-pregnancy jeans. Secondly, I'm still BFing and cannot "watch" what I eat since I simply feel ravenous when I feed Arham! Also, it's not right at this point.”
Adding further about her post-pregnancy weight loss and promising her fans that she will soon share her diet and workout regime, Chhavi Mittal further added, “Thirdly, I haven't got a go-ahead to start workouts since I had a section, and still have 2-3 more weeks to fully recover. So keeping all this in mind, let me tell you, when you BF your LO, it's your body's way of telling your brain that the baby is out, so shrink the uterus back. So there's yet another reason to BF. And I refrain from attacking processed sugar. I have switched to jaggery to satisfy my sweet cravings. Even the lactation laddoos have jaggery in them. So, for now, this is all I do. I will share my diet & workout regime in another 2 weeks, mommies! Love & peace till then! #weightloss #postpregnancyweightloss #postpregnancybody #chhavimittal #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation.”
Chhavvi Mittal has truly inspired us all with her candidness on social media and with her beautiful words which has become not only a habit for her to pen down, but also ours to read her tales. Recently, she had shared that she had taken newborn, Arham to her office to resume her work. Sharing the following picture, she had captioned it as, “Little Arham and I resumed office this Thursday. It's a place that he's spent most of his time while he was in my tummy. No wonder he was so calm in the midst of discussions, story narrations, meetings. Little entrepreneur in the making completely at home in the office! Oh btw, mommies, don't rush to get back to work after the baby, I'm taking it real slow, with just a few hours at the moment at the time of mine and Arham's convenience. Besides I have created my office extremely comfortable for us. Incidentally, I also feel the most at home in the office! #workmode.” (Must Read: Anushka Sharma Praises Virat Kohli's Gesture Of Asking Fans Not To Shout 'Cheater' At Steve Smith)

Chhavi Mittal had shared the scary birthing process of Arham with her fans on Instagram as a part of five chapters. Giving us every detail of the same, she had revealed everything that had happened in the hospital where she was admitted to. And later, Chhavi Mittal had opened up, in another post, about how she had received verbal abuse over texts and comments on her posts. She had shared, “Not so long ago I shared my birth story. Although I only spoke my heart about what I felt, without maligning anyone, I suffered verbal abuse, mockery, mental torture & trauma at the hands of some people from the "noble profession". It took time to sink in. But while I was robbed of my right to choose my birthing preference, I refuse to give up my right to choose positivity. Hence I choose hope. Because there were so many who rose up in my support. Hypno-birthing is a concept that has been adopted in the West already & it's only a matter of time before it is also accepted in our country. I promise you, mothers, before it is time for our daughters to birth, things would have changed.”
Chhavi Mittal had further added as to how she regained her faith, “And I request everyone who's reading this, to read it not as a professional, but as a human being first... and think of my experience not as a stranger's or a celebrity's (I hate that word with a passion), but as your own or your daughter's, wife's, mother's or sister's. And while I may not have birthed the way I visualised, I'm still a better person thanks to hypnobirthing, because it not only gave me the courage to be prepared for everything but also stay calm. And my faith is restored when a howling, unsettled Arham comes in mine or @mohithussein's arms, & our calm breaths calm him down. So thank you @mel.mgenovesi for taking me step by step through the Hypno-birthing process and holding my hand even today when I lose focus. Thank you @suzzannerebello for introducing me to this practice. Thank you @nataschachadha for reinstating my faith in it. Thank you @malik.ruth @birthindiaorg and @effath_yasmin and all the mothers who messaged me for not letting me crumble. And thank you many senior doctors for making my faith in this noble profession stronger than ever & believing that one rotten apple doesn't always spoil the barrel. #hypnobirthing.” (Recommended Read: Suhana Khan's Latest Dance Video Is A Trendsetter, She Gives Best Dancers A Run For Their Money)
