Chhavi Mittal fought against one of the deadliest diseases, i.e., breast cancer surgery, and is still undergoing several treatments. But despite her arduous journey, Chhavi never missed a chance to reveal her battle with cancer and give hope to many other cancer survivors. And in this, Chhavi's husband, Mohit Hussein and their kids, Areeza and Arham are her strongest support system. Now, Chhavi opened up about having hormonal changes and other side effects of the treatment.
Taking to her IG handle, on July 26, 2023, Chhavi Mittal, who is undergoing breast cancer treatment, shared a picture of herself. In the picture, she wore a green off-shoulder bikini teamed with braided hairdo and simple makeup. Along with it, she penned a long caption and talked about certain hormonal changes she is currently having. Mentioning how her breast cancer treatment put her at risk of having spinal fractures, she penned:

"The breast cancer led to the treatment, a major part of which is tamoxifen which I have to take everyday for 10 yrs (9 more to go). The tamoxifen leads to hormonal changes and what not, which is causing Bone Mineral Density loss. The BMD loss is causing un-called-for fractures (like the one I had in my foot) and also positioning me as an Osteopenia patient, putting me at a high risk for spinal fractures."

On the same note, the brave actress revealed being administered with an injection, which has a plethora of side effects. She mentioned how her body completely degenerated post getting administered with the injection, and she had to take more medicines to settle the side effects. Chhavi continued:
"The treatment for this is an injection administered intravenously (which I took 2 days back in a hospital), and that injection has a plethora of side effects. Yesterday my entire chest, back, shoulders, neck went in a spasm. I cdnt even breathe without wincing in pain. I thought I was dying and this is how it feels when the body degenerates. Then I took meds to settle those side effects. Currently I also feel tightness in my chest and my joints feel like they’ll all break. This is what is called a butterfly effect."
However, Chhavi is not losing hope and coming out stronger for every cancer survivor. She mentioned how she would keep on fighting the deadliest disease and tried a bit to inspire other survivors. Chhavi concluded:
"But what choice do I have? Once a cancer survivor, always a cancer survivor. There’s no undoing it. My heart goes out to ALL survivors out there who have gone through similar things and more and continue to fight living their lives on a daily basis. All I can say is, today may not be a good day, but tomorrow will be better. Of that I’m sure."
