When the makers of CID announced that they'd be ending the show with their 1,547th episode, it broke many people's hearts, as watching CID with family had become a cultural thing in Indian households. Despite rumours of CID returning in the following years, the producers reportedly ran out of good storylines. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, social media started serving nostalgia in abundance. Several forgotten celebrities started receiving attention on social media as people enjoyed reliving their childhood's taste. Here's how social media, especially meme pages, played a significant role in bringing CID's season 2 into our lives

It was the time when meme pages started using hilarious scenes of CID for their memes and funny content. Slowly and steadily, CID memes started getting a lot of traction on social media. Due to this, CID's leading trio, Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, and Aditya Srivastava, witnessed a massive surge in their fan following on Instagram. People started commenting, 'Come back again' and 'Bring CID back' on their respective posts, and all of a sudden, CID got a cult status in India's meme culture that helped it regain its massive fan-following and aura. We hope CID continues to win hearts across India and that the children who are now adults can have a slice of nostalgia.
