The consumer goods giants, Dabur India Limited, is leading all the headlines after the recently-aired advertisement of their product, Fem Creme Bleach, has reportedly hurt the religious sentiments of a certain section of society. From abuses to death threats, the company has received immense criticism on the internet. But things levelled up after the Madhya Pradesh Home Minister, Narottam Mishra, warned the company of serious legal action against them.
While addressing the media, Narottam Mishra reflected on Dabur's advertisement featuring a same-sex couple and called it 'objectionable content'. His headline-breaking statement can be read as, "Today, they are showing two women celebrating Karva Chauth. Tomorrow, they will come up with an advertisement that shows two men getting married. We cannot allow anyone to show such objectionable content."

Talking about Dabur's Karwa Chauth advertisement, in the video, we can see two women indulged in some sort of face makeup and cleansing as they were getting ready for the auspicious festival of Karwa Chauth. The lesbian couple can also be seen discussing the reasons behind their decision to do fasting for one another and celebrate the beautiful festival. Moving forward in it, we can see an elderly lady gifting lovely sarees to them and lauding them for their perfect preparations for Karwa Chauth.
After which, the camera cuts to a terrace, where we can spot two women all set to greet the moon with their respective 'puja ki thali' in their hands. The next scene takes some people by surprise, and some by shock, as it is revealed that the two women have taken fast for each other. In the background, we can hear a voiceover that hears "glow with pride", and the Fem logo in rainbow colours send the message of recognition of same-sex marriage loud and clear.

After receiving immense hate and outrage on social media, Dabur India Limited has decided to pull down their Karwa Chauth advertisement and apologised for hurting people's sentiments. The company has clearly stated that it wasn't an intentional attempt to hurt people's religious beliefs. The statement can be read as
"Fem's Karwachauth campaign has been withdrawn from all social media handles and we unconditionally apologise for unintentionally hurting people's sentiments."
After Dabur India Limited took down the advertisement, the Madhya Pradesh Home Minister, Narottam Mishra, praised the company for issuing a tender apology. In a conversation with the Hindustan Times, the politician has shared his reaction to Dabur's decision to take down their Karwa Chauth advertisement displaying same-sex marriage. He said:
"I had asked to send a warning to withdraw the advertisement before registering an FIR for hurting religious sentiments. It's good that they withdrew the advertisement and also a tender apology for that."
