Dalljiet Kaur has been through a lot when it came to marriage. The actress first tied the knot with Shalin Bhanot back in 2006, but their marriage ended in 2015. Being left with the custody of her and Shalin's son, Jaydon, Dalljiet gave another chance to love and got married to Kenya-based businessman, Nikhil Patel. However, problems cropped up in this marriage also, and the actress moved back to India within just eight months of the wedding. Well, the actress and her son had gone through a lot, including legal tussles with Nikhil, which also involved Jaydon. Recently, Dalljiet shared if her ex-husband checked on her or their son amid this tough phase of life.
In a recent interview with Galatta India, Dalljiet Kaur revealed that her ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot hasn't reached out to her for more than a year now. Talking more about Shalin, Dalljiet shared that she tried to be cordial with her ex-husband, for the sake of the well-being of their son, and never stopped him from meeting Jaydon. The actress shared that, in fact, she was extremely happy with Shalin meeting Jaydon as she thought it would be good for their son. In Dalljiet's words:

"With my ex, there has been zero communication for about a year, or maybe more. He hasn’t really reached out so I don’t have any communication. I tried to be amicable with him for nine years. Every time he would ask to meet Jaydon, I would never refuse. Very happily I made them meet because I thought it was good for Jaydon. I was very selfish like that. I was more than happy him meeting Jaydon.”
Going further in the interview, Dalljiet Kaur shared that Shalin had no interest in knowing what happened to her and their son, which caused them to move back to India from Kenya. She claimed that she did not receive even a single text from Shalin, while the latter had her phone number as well.
Dalljiet Kaur further mentioned that it had always been a pattern that Shalin would reach out first if he would want to meet Jaydon. She further claimed that she even wanted Shalin to meet Nikhil Patel and asked him to stay with them in Kenya, thinking it would be good for Jaydon. The actress shared that her ex-husband agreed to the same and then just vanished out of nowhere. In Dalljiet's words:
"It was always a pattern that he would reach out. I made it a point for him to meet Nikhil. I asked him that you come to Kenya, stay with us, it will be good for Jaydon. He said yeah, yeah. And then gayab."
When Dalljiet Kaur gave love another chance, she and her now-estranged-husband, Nikhil Patel got similar tattoos featuring 'Take 2' with the date of their new beginnings, which marked their mutual love and strength in believing someone again. Well, it all went futile when Nikhil not only mocked his wedding with Dalljiet but also cheated on her. Along with getting rid of Nikhil from her life, Dalljiet also modified her 'Take 2' tattoo. She shared a glimpse, wherein it was seen that the actress modified her tattoo to a 2 along with an infinity sign, and a camera rolling a mother-son duo on their journey, which was all things adorable.
