Television actress, Dalljiet Kaur is all set to fight for her rights, whether it is in India or across the oceans, in Kenya. The actress got married to NRI businessman, Nikhil Patel in 2023 and shifted with him in Kenya. However, she was back in India in January 2024, which ignited rumours of their separation. Later, she accused Nikhil of an extra-marital affair, and after that, he denied their marriage. In defence, Nikhil claimed that their marriage was not legal, and stated that it only held cultural significance. Now, Dalljiet has filed a case against him in the court of Kenya, and they have issued a stay order.
Recently, a report in the Hindustan Times revealed how they had gotten hands on a legal notice issued by a court in Kenya against Nikhil Patel. The stay order prohibits Nikhil from evicting his wife, Dalljiet, and her son, Jaydon. The order also directed Nikhil not to throw any of Dalljiet's belongings from her matrimonial home in Kenya. It is the start of a new fight for Dalljiet, and we are sure she is all set for it.

The order was issued on June 11, 2024, by Milimani Court in Nairobi City. The order further stated that the next hearing on the matter is scheduled for June 28, 2024. The legal notice can be read as:
"Pending the hearing and final determination of this application, an injunction is hereby issued restraining the Respondent (Patel), his agents, employees and/or servants from evicting the Petitioner/Applicant (Kaur) and her child (Jaydon) and/or throwing out and/or whatsoever dealing with the personal effects and belongings of the Petitioner/Applicant in her matrimonial home (in Kenya)."
There is a saying, 'Once bitten, twice shy'. However, Dalljiet had hopes that her second marriage would give her a 'happily ever after', but her dream broke within eight months. The actress, who had moved countries to settle down with Nikhil, was back in India in January 2024, leading to murmurs of her separation. While Dalljiet didn't utter a word about the sanctity of her marriage, she later accused Nikhil of having an extra-marital affair.

On the other hand, Nikhil, in his defence, claimed that their marriage was never legal and only held cultural significance. Not only this, Nikhil added that Dalljiet wasn't able to adjust in his home in Kenya, so she left the country, which marked the end of their relationship. He also asked Dalljiet to take away her belongings, or else he would throw them out. Nikhil also threatened Dalljiet with legal notices and warned her not to defame him or use any of his daughter's pictures and videos without consent.
For the unversed, Dalljiet and Nikhil also got matching tattoos right after their wedding, which held a lot of importance on 'second chances'. Her tattoo featured a movie clapper with 'Take 2' written on it. We hope Dalljiet gets justice.
