Dalljiet Kaur has recently been making headlines for her personal life. The actress married Kenya-based businessman, Nikhil Patel in 2023 and, only eight months later, returned to India as problems started erupting in their marital life. While initially silent about the issues, she later claimed that Nikhil had refused to accept the marriage and called it only a social commitment, not a legal affair. Dalljiet even accused Nikhil of being involved in an extramarital affair.
Nikhil, too, has reacted to the rumours and accepted that their marriage was only a social event and the duo is in no way legally bound. So, he wants to move on from his 'brief past' with Dalljiet. He even threatened the actress by badmouthing her on social media and lodged a legal case against her. A few days back, Dalljiet took to her YouTube channel and shared a video of her Sangeet ceremony. In the video, she described details of the Sangeet ceremony and even revealed that Nikhil performed a special dance for her. While the video's comment section was turned off, several people shared excerpts of the video on Reddit and shared their views on the same.
Many of her fans highlighted that Dalljiet keeps on sharing videos from her wedding as she wants to present these as legal evidence. For the unversed, Dalljiet, too, has decided to legally fight against Nikhil. Talking about the same, a user wrote, "I believe she is putting public proof on socials for winning the legal battle." While another one penned, "It's actually great for her case."

The Hindustan Times recently reported on the ongoing drama of Dalljiet Kaur's legal battle with her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel. In a bold move, Dalljiet served a legal notice, preventing her eviction and the disposal of their belongings. For those unaware, Nikhil had previously threatened to donate Dalljiet's belongings to charity if she didn't vacate the property. The legal notice reads as follows:
"Pending the hearing and final determination of this application, an injunction is hereby issued restraining the Respondent (Patel), his agents, employees and/or servants from evicting the Petitioner/Applicant (Kaur) and her child (Jaydon) and/or throwing out and/or whatsoever dealing with the personal effects and belongings of the Petitioner/Applicant in her matrimonial home (in Kenya)."
