Dalljiet Kaur's personal life has been hogging all the limelight ever since she publicly revealed that her second husband, Nikhil Patel, had cheated on her. The two got married in March 2023, and merely after a year of marital bliss, troubles had hit her happy paradise. More recently, Nikhil released a lengthy statement, where he revealed his side of the story.
Amidst the to and fro of accusations, Dalljiet took to her Instagram account on August 14, 2024, and shared a picture with her son, Jaydon, whom she shares with her first husband, Shalin Bhanot. In the picture, the mother-son duo posed for a selfie. Sharing the picture, the actress penned that they were okay. Dalljiet wrote:

"We are Ok... Don't worry guys. Sorry can't answer everyone but just need to tell you all to keep us in your prayers. The worst is over."

On August 13, 2024, Nikhil Patel finally broke his silence on the ongoing spat with Dalljiet and shared a long statement talking about his side of the story. He mentioned that his marriage with the actress was not a 'legal' one as he wasn't officially divorced from his first wife. Nikhil further went on to reveal that Dalljiet would verbally abuse him over calls.
In the same statement, Nikhil shared that he tried reconciling with Dalljiet, but it did not produce fruitful results. He also added that he spent resources to help Dalljiet establish her profile in Kenya and gave her a studio for her YouTube channel and podcasts. However, she was finding it difficult to adapt to the new non-celebrity status in Kenya.

After Nikhil's statement, Dalljiet responded to the accusations and lashed out at him. She emphasised that she was ready to move on from her celebrity status and was happy to be a housewife and have other ways of earning money. Dalljiet also talked about her estranged husband's alleged affairs and asked him to respond to the FIR she had lodged against him.

Previously, on Nikhil's birthday on August 2, 2024, Dalljiet took to her Instagram account to share some throwback pictures with her estranged husband, Nikhil, along with a long note. She reminisced about the day just a year back and mentioned how things were different back then. The actress shared that despite a heavy heart, she wanted to wish Nikhil a very happy birthday, and revealed that others are asking her to move on from him and start her healing journey, but she has been unable to do it.
In the same long note, the television actress also disclosed that Nikhil had sent her belongings to a storage house much before the decided date of pickup. She also talked about her sentiments over wiping the wall, which she had painted for months with her chooda. Mentioning that Nikhil has impressive ways of hurting her, Dalljiet penned:
"And I know you are not done. You will come up with more ways soon…By the way, Jaydon still calls you Papa. It’s a shame how I have to teach my 10-year-old to unlearn that emotion .. you got married to me in such a big way that my child can’t just erase that memory like you have. Meanwhile, Dalljiet's former husband, Nikhil was spotted with his alleged girlfriend, Safeena Nazar, at Taj Land's End on August 1, 2024. According to a report by Times Now, the Kenya-based businessman was quite affectionate with his alleged girlfriend, and he is doing so to convey a message that Dalljiet can do nothing about him dumping her.
