Pakistani Actor, Danish Taimoor Insults A Guest On His Show, Netizens Call Him 'Arrogant'

Danish Taimoor is one of the most admired Pakistani actors who has worked extensively in popular shows like Deewangi, Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai and more. His good looks and sophisticated acting have earned a large fan following, and the actor has been working for more than a decade without any major controversy to his name until recently, when his actions frequently drew the ire of netizens. Initially, he attracted criticism for his controversial views on polygamy in front of his wife, Ayeza Khan. Once again, his decision to call out film critics has received criticism from netizens. Here's what he said. 

Danish Taimoor says that he doesn't look back on film critics 

Danish Taimoor recently came under the spotlight after his controversial views on polygamy. Another episode of the actor's Ramzan special transmission has brought criticism amid this stir. In that episode, he invited digital media celebrities, Hassan Choudary and Adnan Faisal for a conversation. During his conversation, Danish shared that he feels film critics must have experience like acting in Pakistan's entertainment Industry to ensure that they know it inside out. In his words: 

“Maine inke (Hassan Choudary) ke show pe bhi yeh bola hai, mujhe farak nahi padta. (I don't care about the hate I got.) I am sorry to say that but mujhe aise lagta hai ki yeh kaam jo hai na critics ka uske liye unki koi back story hone chahiye.”

He revealed that he doesn't look back at what critics or haters shared because he knows it isn't true. The actor highlighted that he wasn't criticising his guests, but only people with extensive acting experience must have the right to critic other actors' performances. Danish mentioned that film critics sit and call out actors and performances for views and money, so he doesn't say anything because they do some work. But he has never taken them seriously, and neither will he do so in the future. Sharing the feelings, he said:

“Ek aisa koi bhi insaan main particularly aapki baat nahi kar raha, aise aisa shakhs jiska acting ke saath door door tak koi taluk nahi hai, woh beth ke acting ke baare mein kaise bol sakta hai.”

Netizens call out Danish Taimoor for his arrogant behaviour and disrespecting his guests 

When Danish Taimoor's video calling out film critics went viral, fans quickly called out the actor for his disrespectful behaviour. One user pointed out how the Deewangi actor was arrogant in his tone and penned, "He is too maghroor to become a host. The host needs to be humble and kind to his guests." Another netizen called out his hypocritical behaviour and wrote:

"So first, he calls Hasan from SH, who is a critique(unsure of the exact word or profession). Next, he goes on to insult the critique. Then he points to Hasan and says, 'not particularly to you,' but critiques don't understand the whole process of the drama. Followed by two rupay kama len. Followed by mere fans ko fark nai pdta. Kya audacity hai!!!"

What did Danish Taimoor say about polygamy?

Danish Taimoor recently appeared on the Eid special show, Mahfil E Ramadan with his wife, Ayeza Khan. The couple, who have kept their personal life away from the spotlight, shared some interesting details about their love story and marriage. But, amid the conversation, Danish opened up about his views on polygamy and said that Islam has given him the right to marry four times, and it's his will that he hasn't done it yet. However, no one can take that right away, and for the time being (filhaal), he is spending his life with his wife, Ayeza Khan. The statement was met with a negative response. Later, he shared a video, apologised to netizens for the comment, and admitted he used the wrong words but never intended to disrespect his wife.
