On December 11, 2017, our hearts went in for a momentary surprise when Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma officially released their wedding pictures with a super-adorable caption stating that they are now each other’s forever and have been pronounced as husband and wife. Same is the situation now when every time we open our social media handle hoping to get a pop up on our timeline from Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. We have been eagerly waiting to get the official wedding pictures of this newly-wedded couple and though the paparazzi have done their fair share to get us a glimpse, we all are waiting for the couple to release the official one. And finally, our wait is over! Ranveer and Deepika have finally taken it to their social media handles to release the official wedding pictures from both the weddings i.e. Sindhi and Konkani style and captioned it with a heart. They both look ethereal!
As per the reports, dulhe raja Ranveer with all the Band Baaja Baaraat entered the venue for his Sindhi wedding with Deepika in a seaplane. And as per the Sindhi customs, Ranveer's friends too teared his shirt. Deepika and Ranveer hosted their pre-wedding ceremonies including mehendi and sangeet on November 13, 2018, and Ranveer too applied henna on his hands with #DeepVeer written! The mobile cameras of the staff and guests have been sealed with stickers, lest fearing the leakage of any off-guard pictures. And according to the reports, the couple has spent almost Rs 1 crore on security for the week!
Ranveer and Deepika exchanged their wedding vows and were pronounced husband and wife in Konkani style wedding that took place on November 14, 2018, at Villa del Balbianello, Italy. The dress code seems to be white and golden for their Konkani wedding, but the bride donned a red coloured Sabyasachi outfit. On November 15, 2018, Deepika and Ranveer tied the nuptial knot as per the Sindhi rituals honouring the family of the groom.

For the Sindhi wedding, Deepika will make a classic beautiful bride in a red ensemble while her groom, Ranveer will colour-coordinate with her in a red sherwani. According to Zoom TV, the paparazzi managed to reach the wedding venue in Italy to get the first glimpse of the beloved couple, Deepika and Ranveer, despite the heavy security. As per their reports, newly-weds Deepika and Ranveer managed to hide their looks and return back to their hotel CastaDiva resort post the wedding as their boat was chased by the media. Small powerboats manned by beefy security guards circled the media-run boats, and only then the newly-wedded couple, Deepika and Ranveer managed to escape without getting clicked.
On October 21, 2018, Deepika and Ranveer had put an end to all the speculations and rumours about their impending wedding and released and joint statement through their wedding invitation card. The same could be read as, “With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer.”
Deepika and Ranveer have asked their wedding guests to not shower them with gifts and instead donate it to her NGO- The Live Love Laugh Foundation. Mid-Day quoted a source stating, “The bride and groom have requested the guests to not shower them with gifts. If they wish to give them anything, they've requested that donations be made to Deepika's foundation that actively works towards creating awareness and removing the stigma around depression. Both Ranveer and Deepika are deeply committed to the cause and want to involve all their guests in the good deed.”
A few days ago, in an interview with Rajdeep Sardesai on his show, India Today India Tomorrow, the excited to-be bride Deepika shared her happiness of getting married and had stated, “I'm excited in the same way as I'm excited about signing my next film. Marriage is something that I've always looked forward to in my life, as would any other girl."
Further speaking about her inspiration towards a happy marriage, Deepika went on to say, “I've seen my parents do it so well and so successfully and I think for me, that's the way I would like my married life to be as well. My parents have a beautiful relationship. The way they have managed their professional life as well as being together as a family. They have set such amazing benchmarks that both I and my sister (Anisha Padukone) would like to follow."
