In May this year (2018), Deepika, at length spoke about her marriage and balancing her career and marital life. About marriage back then, she was quoted as saying, “When it is time, I’ll know that it is the right time. I think as an institution, it is extremely important. That’s the way I have been brought up. It is extremely important for me to see myself like that. It is every girl’s dream. I have always followed my instinct and I know that I will feel it when I am ready and when it’s meant to happen.”

In yet another interview with Anupama Chopra, Deepika had shared, “It’s too much a part of my life for me to say I can walk away from it. But I think that home, family, parents, marriage is very important for me. Today I can see myself as a working wife or mother. I think I’d drive everybody around me mad if I didn’t work.” (Must Read: Saif Ali Khan's Reason For Not Watching Sara Ali Khan's Film, Kedarnath Is Every Jittery Father Ever)

Deepika has featured as the cover girl for GQ magazine and in there, she has spoken her heart out about dating Ranveer for over 6 years and if anything has changed between them. She stated, “With Ranveer and me, our relationship rests on the fact that we’re extremely liberal with each other, extremely supportive of each other’s professional careers and know each other’s personal needs. I think when we started dating six years ago, professionally, we were both in very different places. My career took off slightly before his, but throughout our relationship, right from 2013 – even when I was shooting for [Goliyon Ki Rasleela] Ram-Leela and Chennai Express – nothing has changed.”

In the same interview, Deepika shared a very interesting detail about her bachelorette bash. Speaking about the same, she shared, “The bachelors crashed my bachelorette! Eventually, it became one big party with all our friends. We were in Orlando for a week and the aim was to get on the scariest roller coasters, to feel that rush of adrenaline, like you’re flying. We went on the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit [at Universal Studios], which Ellen DeGeneres posted about a while back. And the VR Avatar rides [at Disney’s Animal Kingdom], for which we had to stand in line for two-and-a-half to three hours, were phenomenal.”

Deepika on a rollercoaster

While Deepika is the cover of GQ this month, her equally superstar hubby is the cover boy for Filmfare magazine. Therein, Ranveer too, spoke about his 6-year-old relationship with Deepika and revealed, “Six months into the relationship, I knew she was the one. I nurtured the relationship accordingly. It’s been six years now. She’s too good, too lovely. She’s a force of nature. I understood that almost immediately. I’m lucky to have her. I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children. I’ve been thinking about marriage seriously for almost three years now. I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it.”

He further stated, “I believe when the feeling is right, it’s the right time. I’ve been feeling it’s right for a long time. This could have happened three years back as well. Now that she’s also feeling right about it, it’s perhaps the right time now. When two people feel right about it, it’s the right time.” (Read On! Priyanka Chopra's Mother, Madhu Chopra Reacts To The Cut's Sexist Article Targeting Her Daughter)
