Deepika Padukone's fans loved her role in the science fiction mythological movie, Kalki 2898 AD. The climax of the movie ends with the child in Deepika's womb, who is destined to be 'Kalki', Lord Vishnu's final avatar. Reportedly, the filming of the much-touted, Kalki 2 is expected to begin in the summer of 2025. However, the film is getting delayed as for the actress her little baby, Dua is her top priority.
Recently, Deepika and her husband, Ranveer Singh, held a private event where fans were introduced to little Dua. Her face was not revealed for a long time. During the event, a media personnel member asked her about Kalki 2, and she said that baby Dua was her top priority. She revealed that she is not in a rush to resume her work commitments. The reason is that she is not comfortable leaving Dua in the care of a nanny. She had expressed taking care of her little one herself, rather than needing external help. Deepika had said:
"I will raise my daughter myself, just the way my mom raised me."
Deepika is passionate about her motherhood experience and is a hands-on mom. She is committed to nurturing her child with the love, values, and care she received from her own mom.
Deepika and Ranveer had held an intimate event where they had introduced Dua to the media. The power couple had respected privacy regarding their baby girl. 'DeepVeer' could be seen hugging and kissing one another that made their fans go aww. It was on December 23, 2024 when the meet and greet was organised. Little Dua was cradled in Deepika's arms, and the couple requested the media to keep a calm and composed environment. The pair promised to share Dua's pictures at the right time. Reportedly, the little one was dressed in a white outfit and was close to 'DP' as she had just woken up from a nap. After a while, Deepika took Dua inside, and Ranveer continued to talk with the paps.
Neither Deepika nor Ranveer shared any news related to the private event on their social media pages. However, Dua's pictures also did not get leaked, but her parents' million-dollar smiles went viral. Deepika looked serene in a peach-coloured maxi with a deep neckline. Ranveer looked dapper in all-white attire. Deepika chose to keep her tresses open and looked beautiful even without makeup.
